Is it hard to own a puppy? I know you need to make sure it has food, water, and that it gets walked, but is it hard to train one?

I had a hamster, before. That's really different from a puppy... but I think I could handle one! I just want to be sure.

I tried to train my hamster, but it didn't really work. I know puppies are smarter, at least.

They are not so difficult. My uncle keeps many dogs, and as long as they are reared with a firm hand, they are good animals.

I think I could only handle one. I think Lee will agree to that, if I show him I researched.

Does your uncle like dogs a lot?

He does. He keeps them in their own kennel, with raised floors for warmth and good meat for their meals. They even have their own attendant boy, who sleeps in the kennel to tend to their every need.

What sort of dog do you intend to get?

It depends on the type of dog. Some are easier to train than others. But if you're willing to put in the work, they can be loyal companions.

What ones are easy to train?

Dogs like border collies, retrievers, German shepherds, dobermans and poodles. They usually learn new commands the fastest.

No, but he seems the type.

Taking care of a dog isn't so hard. Just remember to keep it fed and watered, take it for walks a couple times a day, and give it plenty of attention, like you said.

Training... can be difficult, it depends on the dog, I guess. [He's never actually had a dog, himself, this is all from research he's done since coming to Paradisa. Blind leading the blind, man.] Just don't get discouraged when it doesn't learn immediately.

That's good. I guarantee, that puppy is going to want to play all day, every day. [And if anyone has the energy to match a puppy, it's gotta be a kid.]

They sure are. Just be patient and give your puppy lots of love, and you'll have the most well-behaved dog running around the castle in no time.

It's not too hard, I don't think? IF you got a pup I'd be willing to try to help you. I own a full-grown dog, so training him's being a little harder, but I'd happily help you any way I can.

His name's Target. Target Jazz Fluffybutt but but I just call him Target. He's a medium dog. With one ear that flops over and one that stands up straight, and a white ring around his eye. His fur is a weird black and brown mix, and one eye's brown. The other's blue.... Hey. Would you like to meet him? He loves people. And he's friendly.
