Trial 13: Social Link... Go?

[Chie's been keeping to herself ever since everyone has gotten back from Hogwarts. She stayed away from listening in the journal as much as possible, to not distract herself from training. World changes seem to be getting closer in between, so she needs to get ready for the next one! Even though nothing bad happened in Hogwarts, it's better be safe than sorry.

But today is different, all that repetition got boring and she needs a day to relax and be herself. Rest is also important to development after all! Chie picks up her journal and speaks]

Yo, Paradisa! How are you all doing? Anyone of you free for the rest of the day? I'm pretty bored and I've done nothing but train all week since we got back so I need a day to rest. But I can still do stuff if anyone is up for it!

Not a bad idea. ... What's your Persona like, anyway? I kinda know what they are, but I've never actually, yanno, seen one.

My Persona can do ice attacks as well as physical ones! But it's mostly the latter...

How did you know about Personas? Have you met Kirijo-san and Rise-chan? Maybe even Souji-kun?

Three for three! Though I just met Souji the other night on the roof - I didn't know he was with you guys. Rise hangs out with my girlfriend Nora a lot, an' Mitsuru helps me train sometimes.

Souji-kun's our leader! He's a reliable guy. I'm glad he's here with us!

Your leader, huh? ... How'd you guys all meet, anyway? This Persona stuff ... from what I've heard of it, it doesn't sound like the kind of thing that'd just come up in regular conversation.

It's a long story. Souji-kun moved to my town for a year 'cause his parents had to go abroad for work. He got put in the same class as me, and I was one of his first friends.

[Chie paused, resting her chin on her hands outside of the journal]

There was this rumor going around school, about the Midnight Channel. Where you look into the TV during a rainy midnight and you're supposed to see your soul mate! Souji-kun tried to put his hand on the TV for some reason, and that's how we discovered that people can enter TVs!

[hard_talker]

Oh! Yeah, I heard about that Channel thing from someone else who was here. [even though he's gone, he's not about to say it was Adachi]

I ... I didn't know you could actually climb into the TV though, holy shit! ... What's that even like?

Hmm... [Chie took a second to come up with an analogy]

It's like getting sucked into a vacuum!

I guess that makes sense, I mean - they do use vacuum tubes in making TV monitors...! ... Once you're inside, though, I mean - does it just look like whatever you were watching?

No. It looks like an empty studio in this very thick fog... We wear some special glasses to see through it!

[hard_talker]

An empty studio? So ... [he pauses a moment to think] Do you figure it might be kind of like Paradisa, where it's another dimension, only you're able to go back and forth?

It does feel similar... But in the TV, we have Teddie. He's from that world, and he's our ticket out all the time. Otherwise we'll be stuck there without him.
