[Perhaps it's a tad too early for a drink, but Faye doesn't seem to mind as she sits quietly at a bar just at the outskirts of the kingdom, a fruity lunch cocktail next to her as she sifts through her journal. Next to the cocktail is a cupcake that was once delicious looking, but is now missing most of its icing and a tiny flag sits next to it that reads Happy Birthday. It had been a small token from the castle, so needless to say she's been eating it slowly and a little cautiously.

As she thumbs through journal pages, specifically all ones identified as her own, she tries to piece together more of her past. Her past here in Caer Paradisa.]

Have I really been here this long?

[Perhaps she could use someone to break her from her birthday reverie.]

Sneaks up on you, doesn't it?

[There's a brief pause as his voice gives her a bit of a start.]

I guess it does.

Been awhile, Faye. How are you doing?

Alright, I guess.

I've been reading the journal.

Yeah? Anything in particular in there catching your attention?

Yeah, some.

It's always interesting to learn about a past you never lived through.

I can't say I've had the pleasure.

I don't think many people have.

I didn't think you were the type to live in the past.

To be fair, I'm not the type to have a past, either.

What do you mean by that?

Remember back in our world, when we first met?
I couldn't remember beyond three years before that.

Nothing at all?

Not even a clue.

I remembered eventually, but it didn't do me much good. I ended up with nothing more than I'd started off with.

Memories aren't nothing.

They're not enough.

What would you like instead?

[There's a pause before she responds.]

...to feel like I didn't miss everything.

[Sympathetically] I wish I could help you with that.

So do I.

[But that doesn't mean she's not thankful for a listening ear.]

Anything I can help with in the meantime?

Well, you could wish me a happy birthday.

I can do that.

[... That sounds a little ominous to him. Maybe she finally got around to digging.]
