What's all this I hear about magic and schools and...owls? [Surely he heard wrong, right?] Is it one of those reality shifts? I can't say I'm sorry I missed that one.

[Owls are mysterious enough without adding magic to them.]

I'm trying to find a good place to practice. All things considered, I don't think it would be good for me to become sluggish.

[Who knows? He might have friends he wants to defend one day. People seem to flock to him even if he isn't particularly social. At all.]

I'm not surprised you've met a few others who know you. [She smiles] Sure. I'm stronger with hand to hand combat but it doesn't hurt to practice my swordplay once in a while.

I'd like to see what you can do before we spar. [He doesn't need more enemies and he doesn't doubt that he could hurt her on accident.] Just to be careful.
