[Someone's standing on her bed again, navigating a mattress and piled blankets to chose a book from the shelf that lines the length of her ceiling.

...then suddenly the book is chosen for her. And it isn't string theory.

Fred scrambles back down to sit on the edge of the bed, fingers tracing over the pages of a journal. Page after page after page. Every last one of them blank. Something presses against her, from the inside out. She moves to the window, briefly glancing outside of it. Everything seems just the same, but she can't seem to fully push back memories of Libet and the auditorium at the heart of it]

Is everybody alright?

[The words seems impossibly dark and large against the blank expanse of the page]

Is everybody...there?

But everything else seems alright, besides the journal?

[That not it, in itself, is exactly a small thing]

Yeah. Nothing else's changed. Just the journal... that suddenly appeared in my hand. I was worried that I'd gained evil powers again, I'm honestly glad that it's not just me.

Yeah, I've heard about it a few times around here. It's weird... back home it was really just my sisters and I. We couldn't even talk about this to anyone.

Because they wouldn't understand?

[They, of course, could mean a great many people]

Partly. But mostly because it's too dangerous. The few times it's gotten out we've almost been locked in a lab or killed.

[No actually, she gets it. Gets it a little too much, actually]

Well, I'm glad you all seemed to have gotten through it.
