[Right on the heels of that mysterious broadcast Phoebe hastily dictates into her journal]

Did anyone else hear that? I've never heard his voice before, does anyone know who he is?

[Her hand is reaching for her radio as she speaks]

It's so weird, I didn't think anyone else co-

[Her words cut off in a sharp gasp as her fingers take hold of the device and the premonition slams into her mind. Her grip tightens as her eyes snap shut, images floating behind her eyelids. The whole thing takes less than a minute but it leaves her breathless as she comes back to herself. She takes a shakey breath, looking down at the radio for a moment as she processes what she just saw. Setting it down she takes up her pen and writes in a filter in a shakey hand]

[Filtered AWAY from anyone who would use this for harm or share it with anyone who would do so. Filtered AWAY from first gens EXCEPT Damsel, Reno, Flora and the man who just spoke through the radio.]

[Her voice is a little unsteady as she speaks]

I just had a premonition... a group of people. Twenty, maybe thirty of them. I've never seen them before but some of them looked like they were hurt. They're all looking up at the sky like they're afraid of something up there. [She pauses to take a breath] They're in one of those western towns in the Dead Zone. I think the man who just spoke to us is telling the truth. A group of us should go out there and see if we can help these people.

Yeah it's one of the reasons why I've never wished we had more access to it than we did. I'm fine with the brief glimpses I get but there are some things that no one should be able to do.

I like what I have. Even as hard as it is sometimes to control.

Me, too. Though, truth be told, I do sometimes miss being able to levitate.

You only lost that temporarily though, right? You could get it back. [and technically he can get flight back if he tracked down West again, but it just wouldn't be the same]

[She smiles back over her shoulder as she takes them higher]

I could, yeah. But it's okay. When I'm meant to have it again I'll have it.

[Peter is quiet, enjoying the feel of the wind as they glide through the air. Not quite like his flying, but close]

[She's quite content to enjoy the silence for a moment, leaning back into his arms a little. She might only be going on an expedition but it was still time away from him]

[it's a little strange being the one left behind. He's usually the one charging into danger. But he needs to stay where his powers can be useful, and Phoebe has to follow her visions. He pushes her hair off her neck so he can kiss her there]

It's not a long trip. You'll be back before you know it.

[The broom dips ever so slightly as she closes her eyes for a moment. Ooooh you had to go for that spot didn't you? She smiles, though, and her mood lifts noticeably]

I know. We shouldn't even really be gone a week if all goes well.

Then I hope it goes well.

And I hope your time here is uneventful.

[would it be bad to say he's kind of itching for a fight?] We'll see.

[No... since she's sort of itching for one, herself.]

Whatever happens... stay safe.

[Phoebe, you do remember who you're talking to here, right? "Safe" is not in his dictionary]

[Shhhh just let her pretend.]

I know you will [She smiles] I trust you to help protect everyone while I'm gone.

Count on it. [he falls quiet, gazing down at the ground far below. It's a shame they have to go back]

[She feels the slight movement behind her and her own gaze turns toward the horizon, out to the Dead Zone.]

We won't be able to leave for at least another day.
