I know a number of us are already talking about going out to help those people - I'm gathering weapons now and I need to know which one of us who are going who are already armed. I also need to verify that we have some armed people who are going to stay behind, as this might be a trap.

Either way, we need to make a strong standing there, and here. I've got my arrows, my bow, varying other bows and arrows from the shooting range, a crossbow, knives, and a sniper rifle from our time in Dinosaur Land.

I ain't the type to get involved in the local politics, but what, exactly, is the incentive for going out to help those people if there's even the slightest indication that this might be a trap?

I'm in. Getting my shit together as we speak. It seems that you can't wish up weapons as easily as other supplies in this joint, but I'm pretty handy with knives so maybe I could take one of those off your hands.

Yes, I am staying out here. Past experience has shown I can only be minimally useful without my magic. Especially so if those creature are indeed out there somewhere.

1. Because I prefer to flush out a trap then have them try something else on our front door.

2. Because we can finally get some information on our enemy without it being vague or blown up.

And you're still not answering about incentive. There are plenty of ways to find out about an enemy without putting people in danger for a bunch of strangers.

The enemy is this - the First Generation who want to wipe us out but I don't know why, they didn't tell me. The other is an alien ship that crashed down in Terre Haute. Those aliens look like giant bugs, and seem to want to kill us.

And since you're not going, I guess you don't have to worry about incentive, now do you? For me, it's making sure those people are safe, and if it's a trap, making sure our people are safe. Period.

Don't sass me, kid. I worry about incentive when it might effect me, and considering how small this castle is, I goddamn worry, especially when you don't sound a day over eighteen. Heroics don't mean a damn thing.

I think it would be smart to keep a few fighters here, just in case something attacks while others are out on the rescue mission.

Exactly what I thought - and now I know what magic can do .... can you three do something to put like a shield around the area? Or at least some protective wards?

And I've been living as a survivor for longer than you've been alive, so pardon me if I question someone so willing to call herself expendable. You got a family to take care of? Then you're an idiot to stick your neck out and risk leaving them behind.

I know loads of spells to protect and hide. There are also a few safe places, like the TARDIS and Caritas. I'll set up a post asking for everyone's help.

Erm, I'm bringing a trident. I suppose you could put me on that list of armed folks headed out.
