[Not exactly a good move there, York, she's misinterpreting that grin and edging a little closer.]

[And then she tips up and forward, in her mind moving in for a passionate kiss. In reality it's more a stumble and a fishface.]

[York blinks at her apparent nonsequitor and is thus completely unprepared when she leans forward and--she gets a lucky bit in before he pulls back and sputters.]

[She frowns at him, annoyed. That was totally hot and romantic!]

[Also it's either lean against York or fall out of her chair so it's less clinging for emotional support and more clinging to stay upright.]

[Oh man, she's really drunk, isn't she? York somewhat gently supports her but tries to find her eyes so she knows he's talking directly to her.]

[He tries to break it to her as gently as possible, but--it's just not going to happen. Poor South.]

[She scowls and turns her attention back to leaning on the bar.]

[He gives her a bit of a hug-squeeze before he lets her shift her weight back to the bar.]

It's not that I'm not flattered, you know. I'm just not in a good place for it.

That's what whiskey is for. [She clumsily nudges an empty shot glass at him.]

[He sighs. Sure, that might work for a single night, but he'd have to live with the consequences.]

It's not about sex, South. If that's all I wanted, I would have moved on from her a long time ago.

[South only ever lives for the single nights, but sometimes it gets a little tiring, especially when she can see something so real so close and know she'll never have any of it. She starts playing with the shot-glass and rolling it around on the bar.]

Why do guys like you stick with a stupid bitch like her?

[She's going to lean her arms on the bar and sulk now, because no guy outside of family would ever give her that kind of consideration.]

[South had little filter at all to begin with, so the application of this much alcohol her thoughts have free rain of her mouth just as fast as they can get there.]
