An expedition, huh? Sounds like some of us are gonna go play hero to these people. There's a good chance it's a trap, you know. [He scoffs a bit, although it sounds more like a grumpy huff.]  Good way to get some people killed.

 

[He's quiet for a while though, as if mulling over a decision. Getting out of the castle would be a nice change of scenery..]

...Count me in, I guess. But someone's gonna have to look after the... plant while I'm gone.

I tried planting tomatoes and failed. Will your tree be stronger?

It's always a fifty-fifty kind of deal, what you see on these things. But this is the first time we've actually headed directly into danger.

Not exactly the best plan, if ya ask me.

Their leaves were turning brown, but I did get tomatoes.

Well, people need help, right? We can't just ignore them.

You probably haven't been watering it enough. Tomato plants aren't my specialty, but I know that it takes a lot of energy to grow fruit.

Yeah, I'd be all for helping them out if I was sure this wasn't a bad idea. Unfortunately, this isn't the case.

One: because watching over a single plant isn't all that entertaining, and two: someone has to make sure you don't get killed.
