[Not long after Blues' announcement, Chie opened her journal to make one of her own. It was one of those days where she was feeling a little social, so she went to surprise a few of her friends and drop by their rooms. She was surprised and also not, knowing how Paradisa just sweep people away at random, she should have expected it... ]

Hey, everyone. It's Chie... Sheesh, uhm, to those who knew Ib, Aradia, and Ohjiro-kun, the castle sent them all home...

[Chie sighed, obviously upset at the sudden disappearance of half of her friends in this castle.

Later, Chie can be found in the shooting range, where she now goes to vent off her frustration and practice shooting as Kate taught her]

Yeah, I'm sure. I've been trying to contact her for days now, I just thought she was just sleeping in a lot. But her nameplate's gone now.

[It's very quiet on this end for a while. When you lose a friend like that...it's not easy, it really isn't. But Jane barely knows Chie, it would be kind of strange to dump her emotions out on the table, as it were.]

[Chie's eye twitched, feeling a mix of frustration at the castle and sadness from the separation that clearly didn't affect just her]

Can I... know your name? If you're Aradia-chan's friend, you're an acquaintance of mine.

[Pixy will be at the shooting range when she's there, experimenting with different assault rifles. He'll be tinkering with an HK416 when he notices Chie.]

You'll be wastin' ammo with posture like that.

[She couldn't really hear well with her ear protection, so she didn't notice anyone in the range until Larry spoke up]

Wha- Larry-sa-- Larry? I didn't know you were there... Aha-hah...

[He'll raise an eyebrow at her. Rather judgingly, actually. That alone tells him she's a hazard with a gun.]

You need to be more aware of your surroundings, kid. Especially in a place like this.

[Chie sighed and looks down]

I just can't concentrate as well right now. I just thought I'd go here to practice, pass the time, and...

I can't believe it... I remember meeting her, back when we were all sent to Tokyo. Even if we didn't know each other for long, it's still weird thinking that she's gone now.

Yeah. Her nameplate is gone, so she's really been sent home... I don't know if I should be happy for her, if she's really been here for years...

i guess it depends if she wanted to stay or not
but she never seemed to mind all the morbid shenanigans in our own cosmic croaker
in fact she was pretty excited about it all from what i remember
so shed probably rather be there

[Rise is absolutely stunned silent for a moment. She knows all three of those names...]

... They're all gone...?

[Some of them haven't even been here that long! And she's known Aradia as long as she's been here. It's just... too much.]

Yeah... I-I'm sure they're all happy to be home now.

[There's no denying that Chie is confused and at the brink of tears. At least Rise is still here, that made her feel a little more glad. Each time someone she knows get swept away, it just leaves a pain in her heart that she couldn't shake off.

And in a lower voice, she muttered:]

I'm glad you and Souji-kun are still here... I don't know what I'll do without you.

[Dictated]

Yeah...

[She wants people to make it back home, she really does. But it still hurts when the castle just takes them away like this. They don't even get a chance to say goodbye.]

... I'm glad we're all still together, too. Maybe we'll even get lucky and we'll all go home someday?

[She's trying to be optimistic, but... even if that happened, it'd just mean a lot more people in the castle would miss them all at the same time. Someone would get hurt, no matter what.

She takes a deep breath and sighs.]

... This place really sucks sometimes...
