[There is the soft sound of shifting objects, as if someone is parsing through a bunch of things. Jane's found all the sewing and knitting things Rose left her, and it's really frustrating when you don't know how to use any of it.]

Perhaps I'll take a book or two from the library...hmm.

I'm sure you've noticed by now that some of our friends have left us again. I feel awful for just going out on the expedition all willy-nilly, but, I think we should do something now that everyone who's still around is here. I'm...not really sure what though.

It just seems right to...spend some time together, I guess. I want to see all of you.

It doesn't really work like that, but it's good to hope I suppose. On one hand I would love it if we could go home, but on the other, there's always the possibility that some of us will be left behind, like now.

It was alright! We met some new folks living out in the Dead Zone. They're from what used to be Cair Draconis, the castle that had the illness that went around last November. Remember?

No, they were perfectly fine! For the most part, anyway.

Wow, that's really lucky for them. And I guess it's really lucky for us if they're friendly, too. Maybe we can all help each other out.

I know, right? But I think they're the ones who are most in help. They're making a living out in the Dead Zone, and it's really not the hospitable sort of place, as we know.

If they have survived this long I think they will be okay. But we should still check up on them every now and then.
