☽ 014 [ First Quarter ] - - Dictated.

 [ Remus' voice is filled with heavy sadness when he speaks through the journal, though it's clear that he's doing his utmost to hide it under his usual polite tone. This morning had been a happy one, until he had gone to wake Sirius up and had discovered that his name plate on his door had disappeared. He'd known at once that the Castle had sent him home, that Sirius wasn't simply hiding on him again. 

Of course, Remus still had friends here. He had James and Hermione, Arya ... and even Isaac now.

But Sirius was still gone and that left him feeling rather sick and empty. ]

Sirius Black has gone home.

I will be, eventually.
I take comfort in the fact that he's gone home. He's gone back to Hogwarts and he's safe.

Remus

[awkward silence]

Yes. And you still have James and I. If you need me for anything, I'm only an Apparition away.

Hermione.

[lupinotuum]

Of course. I haven't forgotten.
[ He smiles and nods a little, even though he knows she can't see. ]

Remus.

[wolfchild]

[ she doesn't bother with "I'm sorry." it's useless and annoying. ]

What are you doing?

Arya.

[lupinotuum]

[ That's a good question, Arya. Remus has to actually think on it, because he had plans and now he sort of doesn't know what to do with himself. ]

Err... I guess, going to the library now?

Remus.

[wolfchild]

[ a beat. ]

The library? For true?

[ she's trying not to judge, but. ]

Arya.

[lupinotuum]

[ He's judging himself, really. He practically lives in the library and he recognizes that he may have a bit of an obsession. ]

Well, I had plans earlier, but he's ... he's gone, so I suppose the library was the first thing that came to mind.

Remus.

[wolfchild]

That's stupid. Let's go outside.

Arya.

[lupinotuum]

[ A beat, then a soft, barely there, chuckle. ]

Alright. The woods, I assume?

Remus.

[wolfchild]

Yes. There's something there I want you to see.

Arya.

[lupinotuum]

[ Well, his interest is certainly peaked and he can be persuaded to stop being depressed now. ]

Where shall we meet, then?

Remus.

[wolfchild]

The lobby is good. At the doors.

Remus

[scarredglasses]

I'm sorry, Remus. Are you okay?

Harry.

[lupinotuum]

I'll be alright, eventually. Thank you, Harry.

Okay. You can talk to me about him if you want. Just letting you know.

Harry.

[lupinotuum]

I'd ... I'd like that, Harry, thank you.
Is there anything in particular you'd like to know about Sirius?

[delincuente]

[Huh. Even though she hasn't talked to him in awhile, and she's still kind of pissed about how things turned out... hearing that stings.]

Hn. That... really sucks.

[lupinotuum]

[ He's most certainly agrees, Alex and perhaps he's a little sorry, by how things had turned out... ]

It does, indeed.

He gonna be okay back home? I mean, nothing bad happens to him, right?

[Oh, to be young and ignorant.]

[lupinotuum]

More or less. He'll be back at Hogwarts, hopefully behaving himself. As far as I'm aware, he's safe enough.

[delincuente]

Well if Hogwarts is anything like Wiz Tech, hopefully he's not getting his magic stolen by any evil Twelve-Ball coaches.

[A pensive pause.]

... You guys have Twelve-Ball, right?

[lupinotuum]

As far as I'm aware, one's magic cannot be "stolen", so I'm sure he's safe from that.

[ A light chuckle, his tone turning curious. ]

No, we have Quidditch. What's Twelve-Ball?

[delincuente]

Dude, you guys are lucky. Magic's always getting taken away from people where I'm from. I lost mine once for turning my parents into guinea pigs.

[She lets out a dramatic sigh.]

Twelve-Ball is the stupidest thing, oh my God. It's like ping pong, but with twelve balls, and a whole bunch of players. And everyone has two paddles. They were crazy about it at Wiz Tech.

[lupinotuum]

Really? That seems very unfair. Where I'm from, if someone turns their parents into guinea pigs, the spell is simply reversed and usually there is no disciplinary action. The Unforgivable Curses, however, those are a different story...

[ He tries to picture that in his head and laughs a little. ]

That seems ... rather excessive? The entire Wizarding World is practically enamored with Quidditch. You should ask James about it. He'll talk about it for days.
