science objectives

Hi, everyone. So. Science at it's best is used to improve people's lives, making them easier and safer, while keeping us in balance with nature. Um. That was an unintentionally pretentious way of saying I want to use science to help people here.

I may not be able to get us home, but that doesn't mean life here can't be made better. So. Any suggestions? Is there anything you can think of that would make life here easier or better? Maybe something to help with the expeditions?

I know that in the past, a significant number of citizens have received crystals that allow them to power up their electronic devices in the Deadzone. If we could find a way to duplicate their properties, that would be really helpful.

[Faye has a love-hate relationship with science considering her background with it, but she's willing to be open to it.]

Well, you could build something fun, for starters.

I'd choose wisely regarding who takes control of that part...the last thing an internet needs is more blogs and cat pictures.

But I have acquired some skills of my own over the years should you require any assistance with the programs.

My girlfriend has one that she never uses. I can get it from her and drop it off to you.

Communication, for sure. I'm not so attached to the internet that I can't do without.

I'm going to second the power crystal thing. We need a way to keep our technology running in the Dead Zone.

I'm likely going to regret this later, but still, I'll offer my services to help. Power, technology, programming, saving the planet in under a minute... Etcetera, etcetera...

True, but somebody has to think about good taste around here.

Just call me Mr Mayhugh.

Just that the crystals are part of a larger 'mother crystal' and that it's apparently native to this world.
They also aren't very powerful, at least not the ones we have access to. About as much power as a... double A?
