August, are you all right? I hope you weren't kidding about sticking together. It seems like now might be one of those times.

Cas, where are you? Are you alright? Everyone else has lost their voices now, too. I know it's been hard for you and that you've been keeping to yourself... but this is important. We might be able to do something here. I don't know where you've been, but I'm worried about you. Just... let me know if you're okay, at least?

Not just you. At least we had a warning with people dreaming about it, so we can be more prepared. You weren't here for Event Horizon, but that was insane. Us on the rescue ship were scrambling.

Yeah, everyone is on alert. I... kind of rearranged the library to be a little easier to protect. There are some old looking books that look pretty legit, I'm going to start researching if you want to join me.

[Instead of writing out his response Will closes his eyes and reaches out with his mind. He sends his words into Meg's mind, being careful not to intrude beyond the very surface.]

This is the silence, I think. There were many others who shared in that vision.

[Meg winces as she feels the not altogether unfamiliar sensation of telepathic communication. Some higher level demons and of course her Father often used it, but it had certainly been a while and felt mildly unsettling. But when she sensed that it was Will, she felt at ease and listened carefully.

She had never been able to accomplish this herself, so she simply wrote down her response.]

The silence? I haven't heard anything about that. Was it a separate vision from the dream about the girl with the box? But yes... I'm concerned about that as well. I've blocked off all but one entrance to the library so some of us can safely do research and protect others there, if you want to join us.

The others who had the dream remembered other parts of the rhyme. 'Can't even scream, can't even cry.'

[She was relieved he was only referring to that portion of the song, and not another threat entirely. Something about the words seemed ominous all on their own.]

I'm alright, Meg.

[It's not totally true--and not especially convincing since he's been incommunicado for nearly a month--but it is in some ways. Mentally, he's much better than when they'd spoken last.]

What is going on? It seems everyone is now experiencing the same loss.

[Meg sighed with relief when she saw the familiar script appearing and ran her fingers lightly across the text before writing back.]

I'm glad you're okay. [This is by far, the understatement of the century.] And yes, everyone has lost their voices now.

Some people have had dreams about an extremely creepy nursery rhyme, and just about everyone has their guard up because it sounded very ominous. Some of us are in the library now trying to figure out what it might mean, since it seems to be connected to everyone losing their voices.

[He hasn't spoken--or well, contacted--her in almost a month, so he's not entirely sure she wants his company, even though he might be a little more interesting to interact with now.]

[He closes his journal and ventures downstairs, wandering into the library and glancing around for the demon. He looks a little pale, like he just got over an illness--being mortal sucks--but otherwise much better than he had before. His eyes are bright and sharp, and his posture is confident and self-assured.

He seems a great deal more like himself.]

[Meg senses his presence and turns around to see him standing in the entrance behind her. He's paler than usual - like he's been sick. That would explain a lot, but she doesn't really care about the details at the moment. She's just glad to see him. A genuine smile breaks across her face, and it goes to show how much this place has changed her that she doesn't bother holding back. Without the use of her voice, the most obvious thing seems to be closing the distance between them and hugging him tightly, so she does.]

[He doesn't shy away or act startled at her suddenly crossing the distance, as he might've just after his arrival; instead when she puts her arms around him he hesitates only a moment before he returns the hug. It's certainly an unusual greeting from her, but not at all an unwelcome one.]
