[ It’s a bit of pen tapping to the journal, aimlessly, before anything else is written. Although his handwriting is terrible - cramped in odd places and too spaced in others. ]

One. Nightmares of fears. Two. Silence and heart thefts.

[ He could phrase that differently. He doesn’t particularly care to, though. ]

It leaves off here. Anyone who pays attention to magic might find there’s a great deal being used in the kitchen. It dies down to what might be considered ‘normal’ for Duke to use. Then any sense of magic being used, or being there, in the kitchen fades away.

[Being as sensitive to magic as she is, she feels it almost immediately. She doesn't stop to wonder what it is or what it came from; she quickly grabs her bow and moves as quickly as she can toward the kitchen.

The sight is as gruesome as the others, and she lifts her arm to cover her nose and mouth. With one hand, she manages to scribble out a message.]

ANOTHER FALLEN. KITCHEN.

[True to her word, no others have been granted entrance to the scene. She's surprised to see one so young, but the young ones often surprise her. Vereesa regards the other with a nod, quickly writing her response in her journal.]

[She gestures for her to enter the kitchen.]

[For her part, she crouches near the body, grey eyes narrowing as she focuses in on the details, but she is very gentle when she moves around the man.]

[Vereesa will nod at that. She's eager to hear anyone's plans for how to rid the castle of this menace. She gives Katniss her space, making sure that no others disturb them]
