I don't suppose any of you did anything very stupid and very magical this morning?

[For once, Howl actually sounds shaken by something]

I think the castle's a bit unhappy.

[There is the distinct sound of things rattling around followed by a crash]

Not me. The most magical thing I did was pour milk into my cereal.

[Which, admittedly, she did use magic for, but the castle had never flipped out at her for small, everyday spells before. Why start now?]

Well, it wasn't me. I was asleep until everything in the room started shaking.

[Which is not 100% true, but true enough to serve his purposes]

I hope whatever's making it angry stops soon.

[He was more than a little worried about what might happen if it just... shut down completely]

[Dairine raises an eyebrow and glances at her clock. Even by her standards, it's pretty late.]

Oversleeping much?

Assuming they're still around to stop it. The castle is vindictive enough without incentive. But if it's personal? Who knows how far it might go.

You think the castle would do away with people who poked it too much?

[It's an interesting thought... and would make some amount of sense.]

Well, I'm no morning bird, but it still seems rather late to me.

[Dairine shakes her head.]

As in send them away? Probably not. That would give too much incentive for other people to try. As for killing them... [She shrugs.] Well, I certainly wouldn't put it past the castle, but I doubt it would want to waste the energy on bringing them back. Then again, that assumes the castle would have thought its actions through, which seems unlikely with it in this state.

Not me. I'm not a magic-user at all, but I'd love to smack whoever did!

I'm not usually inclined to violence, but I'm feeling the same way, myself.

I just had to clean a broken egg off my wall. Hopefully nothing too dramatic is happening for you? And I'm also not generally inclined toward violence.

My room is trying to shake itself apart. No flying eggs, yet.

Something's just caught fire. Definitely an improvement.

It seems to be a disturbingly common occurrence.

Luckily most of it just breaks when it hits me.

...However I've tried wishing for new chairs and the castle just gave me pears instead.

Something happened, I think. Everything's been haywire since this morning.

Well I'm going to throw pears at whoever or whatever caused it.

Seeing as I have an abundance of them now.

Seems like a waste of perfectly good pears...

I've got no use for them other than as projectiles.

If you want them you can have 'em.

You could always leave them in the kitchen.

...although I don't know how safe the kitchen is right now.

I suppose I could, but then I'd have nothing to throw at who ever was smart enough to piss off the castle.

[His little robot heart is set on throwing these at someone.]

Then for your sake I hope they out themselves soon, or you're going to have a mess on your hands.

If the pears go bad, I'll just find something else to throw at them.

I can always dump the mess in front of their room if it gets too bad.

That's probably for the best.

If you find out who did, you might want to let them know I'm looking for them, or don't, it doesn't really matter to me.
