Second car - Big scary place [Written]
Well this place is all big and glamorous but I can't believe it's for free. Whoever brought us all here must have had some bloody intention with it. Are we supposed to work like slaves to earn our right to be here? Do we need some kind of work? Or is there something even more weird going on? There don't seem to be any information regarding anything. Not even staff around the castle, what the hell?

The castle takes out its price by stealing something precious to you.

Does that mean everything is free? Because that price is pretty high.

Things are bound to get a hell of a lot worse.

[Curious.]
I wonder too. I hope it's nothing TOO horrible.

[Silva's favourite kind of people.]
You'll be missing something...maybe an item or a memory. Something that is important to you.
That is the price we pay here.
no subject
Yeah other people has already told me that. I'm not going to let it slide tho. I want wahtever I have lost back, end off.
What people haven't told me if there's some currency we need to buy stuff or how to get that.
no subject
And why would you want to use cash when you can simply wish for what you desire?
no subject
Nobody told me that. What about the pub here tho?

It is what parents tell their children when they become somewhat demanding. The implication is they should ask nicely or just stop asking.
Oh the Deathmatch...it's run by this sweet little old thing. A charmer but something of a relic from a previous age. I've never had the pleasure of drinking there.

I wasn't asking about the history of the place, I just want to know if I have to pay for a pint as everything seems to be free here. I'm trying to get an idea of the economy and work market here you div.

I don't know how the 'real stuff' gets here, but it's better than the stuff the castle gives you if you wish for it.

It can be anything. Memories. Skills. Abilities. Objects that mean something to you.
no subject
Well, you can wish for a lot of things. Food. Clothing. Necessities like that. That seems to be the reason something gets taken from us.

Such an interesting remark. I am going to hazard to guess and say you're english.
Somewhere in the north perhaps?

Im afraid I never had the chance to visit when I was over there..my business down south took up all my time.

I'm Chell.
[She draws a smiley in the journal.]
Where are you from?

I'm from Aperture Science.

I don't know. Don't even know what planet. It's not a country. It's a laboratory.

Taken, when I was very very little.

It's a test too. Just a different kind, I suppose. But at least I get to learn.
So, how about you? What was life like for you before here? If it's okay to ask.
no subject
Not much to say. Back home I work as a mechanic at my cousin's garage and I live with me mum in the local pub. It's really not all that interesting. Although the castle did pick a shitty time to take me away.
no subject
You live in a pub?
[She writes. Oh this is interesting.]
What's it like to live in a pub? Also, working in a garage sounds interesting too. I saw cars once, but that was in a city in California the Castle sent us to.
no subject
Yeah it's very interesting with cars. I've learned a lot during my time working there. I would like to have a Cadillac one day.
no subject
I don't know if the ones I saw were Cadillacs or not. But they were very fast.

[Confusion... Then understanding.]
So you need to have dog tags to drive a car?
[Nooo Chell. Not pet licenses!]

OH! That makes much more sense! And congratulations. Were they hard tests?
