Second car - Big scary place [Written]

Well this place is all big and glamorous but I can't believe it's for free. Whoever brought us all here must have had some bloody intention with it. Are we supposed to work like slaves to earn our right to be here? Do we need some kind of work? Or is there something even more weird going on? There don't seem to be any information regarding anything. Not even staff around the castle, what the hell?

Well, everyone gets something taken from them when they come here. In my case, it was some of my memories, but it's different for everyone.
forsometimenow: (*sigh*)

I only wish we could come and go at will... I guess very few people would willingly stay, though.

Well, you can wish for a lot of things. Food. Clothing. Necessities like that. That seems to be the reason something gets taken from us.

[Written.]

The castle takes out its price by stealing something precious to you.

[Curious.]

I wonder too. I hope it's nothing TOO horrible.

It can be anything. Memories. Skills. Abilities. Objects that mean something to you.

I'm Chell.

[She draws a smiley in the journal.]

Where are you from?

I don't know. Don't even know what planet. It's not a country. It's a laboratory.

Taken, when I was very very little.

It's a test too. Just a different kind, I suppose. But at least I get to learn.

So, how about you? What was life like for you before here? If it's okay to ask.

You live in a pub?

[She writes. Oh this is interesting.]

What's it like to live in a pub? Also, working in a garage sounds interesting too. I saw cars once, but that was in a city in California the Castle sent us to.

I don't know if the ones I saw were Cadillacs or not. But they were very fast.

[Confusion... Then understanding.]

So you need to have dog tags to drive a car?

[Nooo Chell. Not pet licenses!]

OH! That makes much more sense! And congratulations. Were they hard tests?

The castle also likes to fuck with us. Some people think that the castle feeds on our emotions and it will do things to make sure we provide a good meal.

heh, you can wish up as much as you like... but the good stuff will cost you. Then again, you can wish up money too so... [you can practically hear the shrug in his voice]

Only if you want it to not taste like watered down ass.

I don't know how the 'real stuff' gets here, but it's better than the stuff the castle gives you if you wish for it.

I'm not a job agency... try looking around town or one of the bars in the castle.

Oh you're a touchy one.

[Silva's favourite kind of people.]

You'll be missing something...maybe an item or a memory. Something that is important to you.

That is the price we pay here.

hasmommyissues: (Curious look)

[personal profile] hasmommyissues 2013-10-19 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Didn't your mother ever tell you "I want, never gets"?

And why would you want to use cash when you can simply wish for what you desire?
hasmommyissues: (So much better then you.)

[He sighs...the impetuous nature of youth annoyed him somewhat.]

It is what parents tell their children when they become somewhat demanding. The implication is they should ask nicely or just stop asking.

Oh the Deathmatch...it's run by this sweet little old thing. A charmer but something of a relic from a previous age. I've never had the pleasure of drinking there.
