[When the letter from Chie arrived at his door earlier in the day, he thought it was some kind of sick joke that the castle had decided to pull. He left his room and made his way over to where Chie's room was and when he saw that her nameplate was indeed gone, he just stood there and stared for a moment.

Go figure the castle had decided to send the one person that he'd almost admit was his friend home. He couldn't say he was was surprised, he was used to be alone by now.

Before he returned to his room he was sure to leave a big hole the size of his fist in what used to be Chie's door.

When he returned to his room, he opened his journal and spoke in as blunt of a tone as he could.]

For anyone that cares, Chie Satonaka returned to her own world.

[Someone's trying not to sound disgruntled about it, but is kind of failing.]

That's what I said, she's not here anymore.

...Also she was normally human, her being a robot was the castles doing.

[Equius breathed an airy sigh.]

A shame. I would have quite liked to examine her robot form.

For some reason, I can't imagine she'd be too thrilled about that.

[There's a pause and a grunt before he answers that.]

I guess you could call us that.

[He had a hard time admitting that anyone was his friend, or that he needed any.]

...She probably would not.

I am sorry for your loss. Losing someone dear to you must be quite hurtful.

[Because everyone sucks, including Blues.]

But it would have been amusing to see how she'd react when you asked.

[This might actually be the first person she might have called friend that's gone home. It's a weird feeling that she doesn't particularly like]

[There's a pause before he answers.]

Yeah, just go away.

[That came off harsher than he had planned, but his social skills have never been his strong suit. He lost all he had in the world he came from, and it seems the same thing is just going to keep happening here. He doesn't see the point in getting close to people who are just going to end up leaving.]

It sucks losing friends. I get it.

I never said she was my friend.

[And the biggest jerk of the year award goes to this guy.

[She's not buying it though, but for the moment she'll allow him to pretend]

[ Newt is down the hall when he hears that door get punched, so he stops short and sort of awkwardly stares. Hi, don't mind him. ]

Y--uhhh. Bad day?

[whistles_the_blues]

[Normally he's careful to step watch his steps to keep the thud of his heavy footsteps down. Today, not so much, there's a distinct sound of metal hitting the ground with each step he takes as he walks by Newt.]

To say the least.

[ Oh yeah, he catches that. He peers at those noisy feet for a bewildered second, turns as the guy passes. ]

You... heh -- got a little steel plating in your shoes, there, buddy?

[whistles_the_blues]

[He'll come to a stop after that question and tap the tip of his foot against the ground a few times out of annoyance. Each tap will make that same dull thud.]

...Yeah.

It's almost like I'm made of it.

[Chie Satonaka? She feels like she knows that name. ...Oh! He must mean Chie, the girl who knows all the good food and friend of Rise.]

[She plops down, wings and hat drooping.]

Rise is gonna be so sad.

[Sugar is also sad to see one of her friends go, but Rise comes first and Chie was her friend before she was Sugar's. She will have to be there to support her.]
