 [After searching every room in the castle, Danny had finally found a nameplate he was almost sure had to be his. It was the only one that mentioned ghosts, anyway.  But he had no idea what the rest of it meant.]

Um, so.  Question.  Can anyone tell me what a Schrodinger is?

That's odd. I found a nameplate that says "courageous wit". I'm not sure what that means.

Yeah, mine is missing too. I thought this might have something to do with it. I mean, its the only nameplate in the entire castle that mentions ghosts.

[The question is quiet, almost as if he hadn't meant to say it aloud.]

Oh, it says Schrodinger's Ghost. I'm not really clear on what that means.

I believe that would be a reference to his cat.

Not a real cat, instead Schrodinger's Cat is the name of a thought experiment based upon quantum mechanics. [To which, the Doctor begins to talk with his hands as well as his mouth. A pity Danny is missing all that.] At its basic layman's interpretation, it's the notion of an objects capacity to be two things - or in two certain states - at once. A paradox.

Um, maybe? I found one that I'm pretty sure is mine. Just not really sure what it means. It says Schrodinger's Ghost.

The guy had some principle about how an object can be in two states at the same time. He said a cat in a box can both be alive and dead at the same time. Although what the hell he was doing sticking cats in boxs is anyones guess ... he was German though, they do strange shit like that sometimes.
