All right, so I can't help but notice that the sun did not rise today. It's a little hard to miss.

See, this is why a world needs to have a Princess to raise the sun every morning. You can't count on it to rise on its own.

....Speeeeaking of which.... Princess Luna, you didn't have anything to do with this, right? I know you're not Nightmare Moon any more, but the eternal night thing is a little familiar. Can't you do something to end it?

[ After asking that, Twilight sighs, then continues. ]

And how is everypony holding up? Rarity? Fluttershy? ...Pinkie?

That's right. Princess Celestia.

..huh. I'd say that's weird, but in my world the sun's a chariot driven across the sky. Sometimes it's a red sports car, and one time it was a bus.

Yeah, thaaaaaaat's pretty weird.

But a magical pony doing it is perfectly normal?

Princess Celestia's been raising the sun for a thousand years. [ So yes, it's perfectly normal okay. ] And if it wasn't done with magic, how else would it get done?

[waterproofed]

Some sciency stuff like the planet's rotation around a star. Pretty boring, but that's what most people go with.

That doesn't make any sense.

I can buy the sun rising without a Princess here. The castle has incredible magic of its own that it probably uses. And, obviously, it can decide not to raise the sun if it wants to.

I'm sure other places have their own people to raise the sun. Or... drive sun-chariots.

Well, yeah, I don't think Paradisa has a normal sun. Someone or something's definitely controlling it. Who or what is the question.

Well.... [ Not sure she wants to bring up Luna with weird guy she doesn't know...] I think it's the castle.

Eh, maybe.

No I'm... pretty sure. Maybe ninety percent.

...Ninety-five.

So, when'd the sun go out anyway? I'm kinda stuck in a maze right now and can't get out.

It just didn't come up this morn...ing? [ A small pause, then- ] A maze?

[waterproofed]

Yeah. My friend and I decided to explore it, and now we're stuck.

[checklist]

Where is there a maze?

[waterproofed]

This... it's in the castle?

How does it even fit? It can't be a very large maze.

We've got a movie theater and the season room. I think we can handle a maze.
