[Twenty-Five - Right Through The Eye]

Christmas time again.

[Katniss's voice is soft, and sad, as she plays with the laces on her boots. She's looking out the windows at the soft, white snow that is gathering on the ground.] This time of year always reminds me of Gale, and Peeta, and back home. When things were at their worst, they were still with me. I miss them, every single day.

[She sighed, quietly, before she got up and went to the window.] I know you're still here, my friends and my family. I've been thinking ... maybe I should come back to the Castle for the winter. I don't really want to but - I don't know.

[She touched the glass.] It seems like a bad time, to be alone.

Truly, you do not need to thank me. I feel like you were one of the few things that kept me sane and kept me getting out of bed after the second time River was here.

We are here for one another. You know I'll always be here for you, no matter what.

Always. That will not change as long as I am here.

Then you should know ... it will never change for me either.

I trust that it won't.

I see that River has made you an offer, too. I think she is growing fond of you.

I'm growing fond of her too. She's ... she really is special, isn't she?

Truly, she is. Talented and smart... she is the most precious thing in the world to me.

[She's silent for a long moment, before she states, firmly.] Keep her safe, Simon. Close to you and safe.

I do as much as I can. I gave up my life as I knew it for her, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I know. That's why we're siblings, you know.

We do have a lot in common, don't we?

We really do. And I'm glad for it, every day.

Me, too. There are not many here who can understand our... specific circumstances.

No ... no there is not. Not even a little bit.

Not that I wish more would, mind. But you and I are not alone as long as we're together.
