Okay, this might sound kind of weird, but... has the castle given anyone something they haven't wished for? I woke up this morning and there was - look, it wasn't the kind of gift anyone here would give me, and it's not something I'd think to ask for, either. Anyway, I was just wondering if this kind of thing was normal or not.

Hey! It's been a while, but are you still up for that game we talked about a while back? Things have been kind of crazy lately, and I don't know about you, but I could use a distraction.

Alright then! Though...hmn, what's the best place to play around here? I'll be honest, I haven't picked up a ball since I was back home.

There's a gym in the castle, it's got a pretty good court. Better than trying outside with all the snow.

Yeah, I've had more than my fill of ice and slush back in Christmasland. Anyway, I'll see you there in about fifteen minutes, okay?

[And assuming there's nothing else? She'll be waiting for him in the gym, wearing a pair of tight, cherry red shorts (with matching socks!), some sneakers, and a loose tank top over her sports bra. Tacky as it is, it's still better than what she wore back home. And besides, if they're staying inside, there's no need to bundle up. Right now she's doing a quick jog, just to warm up while she waits]

[He doesn't want to remember Christmasland. With his fake family who couldn't replace neither his real one, nor his formed one. That was a week of hell. Ben is even lazier in his attire, mostly because he still refuses to wear anything that could show those rather grizzly scars of his. So the usual jeans, t-shirt and jacket it is.

[Now, the jacket...the jacket would seem kind of strange, but eh, it's been cold lately. She just assumes he'll take it off when the game starts]

[Glances back towards the jacket, frowning jacket]

Aren't you going to get hot in all that?

[Yeah, it's winter, but it's not like the gym's ice cold or anything]

[He glances down and...oh. He has a moment of indecision, he still has a T-Shirt on anyway, so long as he doesn't do anything dumb, he should be able to still hide his scars away. Should.

He sighs, shrugging it off]

Yeah, actually. So let me guess, this kinda thing happens every year, right?

More or less. I thought it skipped me one year... turns out it was in the woods the whole time. Didn't find it until the next Christmas.

Huh. Either the castle thinks you spend more time out there than in here, or it wants us to really work for our gifts.

I'm not sure if I'd call it good, but it's...

[Hesitates for a moment, trying to think of the right way to put it]

It's either the most useful thing that anyone's ever given me, or it's just another headache waiting to happen. Like - you know how the castle makes some people forget things? Like people they knew, or things they did back home. Anyway, I think the castle gave me a clue about something like that.
