Is there, uh... place to drive fast, here? A track, something like that? Or even just... long, slightly flat dirt road? Got motorcycle, for Christmas.

[And she sounds so, so very excited about it. Finally, something to do to get the adrenaline flowing that she can do any time at all.]

Can give rides, too. Or driving lessons. Just wish up helmet, then meet outside.

[For anyone who does happen to come out to see her new toy, Cass is leaning up against her bike and looking quite pleased with herself. Best present ever.]

[That does sound like a nice way to blow off everything he's been dealing with lately. She probably means with the car though, which is the one thing he should be making an effort to keep in perfect shape for the rest of time.

[ Effy is huddled by the steps leading to the castle entrance in her oversized parka and unkempt hair when she notices the girl with the bike, whistling in appreciation. Someone got an awesome present. ]

[And of course Cass grins at once because she agrees completely. She's starting to think that maybe this is the castle making up for dropping an apartment on her and letting an alien chew up her arm.]

Effy stands up and crosses her arms in front of her to ward off the cold as she steps closer, peering at the ride. ]

Only if you will let me drive.

No real roads here. You just have to make do as best you can.

[That's kind of a let down, but oh well. Maybe she'll just have to focus on getting her thrills from jumping hills or something.]

Sort of figured... that might be. In nine months, only seen one car. Not exactly... most common thing, here.

I got given mine the first Christmas I was here. Not that I can drive it all that much, and certainly not at this time of year. [S.N.O.W]

Really? This is... my first Christmas, too.

[It's likely she shouldn't look for reasons the castle does the things it does, but that hasn't stopped her yet. Maybe one day she'll guess right, and similarities like this should be remembered.]

Where do you drive, when you can?

Maybe it's a theme.

Around the town, mostly. The paved streets work well enough, even if you can't get any speed or distance. It's more about having the car here anyway, sentimental value and all that.
