Good afternoon, residents. As many of you are no doubt aware today marks the beginning of a new year by the castle's calendar. I'm not sure who decided that such an event should take place in the dead of winter. Back home, the turning of our new year would be either in the middle of summer or the beginning of fall, depending on which calendar you're going by.

In any case, I'm hosting a little get-together in Chimera headquarters, now located on the fifth floor in room five twenty-six. Refreshments will be provided, but please feel free to bring whatever beverage you particularly enjoy the taste of and would not mind drinking in abundance.

By way of advice, if any of you fancy yourselves a lightweight, you might consider fasting today [And that's about as clear as he's going to make that, yep]

Winter is rather dreary. Maybe they just want some reason to celebrate?

[He certainly doesn't want to try explaining the local calendar, even if it does happen to coincide with the one he's used to.]

I suppose that stands to a certain amount of reason. It makes hosting a decent soiree a bit difficult, though. At least, without the aid of wishing.

I don't imagine we'll be doing anything particularly athletic, so I'd say you have your pick.

Well, you know what the decor in the headquarters is like. Dress to suit that. I imagine you wouldn't want to blend in, so nothing dark or neutral, if such a thing exists in your wardrobe.

Well, you have better color for it. Powers know it only makes me looks like a corpse. Which I suppose could be of some benefit at some point or another, but not something I would like to make a habit of out either.

Would it truly be wise to arrange such a meeting with someone you don't know? When you say 'interested to make my acquaintance' what do you mean by that?

[Properly paranoid, maybe. Since he learned about what had happened between Thorin and Ashura he's been plagued by - if not exactly jealousy - but a lingering curiosity as to who he was]

I mean exactly as I said. And if you're worried have some sort of designs on your person, it is only a party. There will be plenty of other people there.

[Yes, Thorin isn't exactly one who puts himself in such situations. He's already not fond of Felix after being witness to Ashura's sorrow upon the termination of their relationship.]

[But, a Dwarf never turns down ale...that's pretty much a rule.]
