That's all done and over with. Now everyone is done being all cheerful and going back to their normal selves. It's pretty boring.

I dunno, I kind of like it. Maybe it's because I'm so used to it by now. And I really like my room, too. [She stops to wonder when she stopped calling it a "respiteblock."]

You should still hang out with this square. If you don't want to come back to the castle, I'll go out to the outpost.

[With that, she shuts her journal so that she can actually pull herself up from her fur pile and drag herself over to the outpost. She packs a few teabags and some cookies, some popcorn, and a jar of mayonnaise. Because.

When she arrives, it's very obvious, because she's calling out Vriska's name loud and clear.]

[HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THE MAYONNAISE When Vriska hears Nepeta at the base, she looks out the window, not even bothering to open it.]

You can just come in!

[Hey, she's just being respectful of Vriska's privacy! But now that she has the okay, she walks in and makes herself at home, emptying her bag of snacks onto the nearest table.]

I brought stuff for us to eat! I even popped the popcorn before I got here so we wouldn't have to wait!

[Welp, the spider pokemon are starting to come out from the shadows, skittering toward the table as well as the newcomer catgirl. Before they get a chance at the snacks, Vriska's already snatching the popcorn and shoving it into her mouth (you know how she's doing it).]

Good for you! Bring on the grown up girl bonding time!

[Reflexively, Nepeta pulls back into herself, one leg up as if afraid she's going to squash the large spider friends. She won't of course. She gives Vriska a nervous laugh as she tries to play off like she didn't react at all.]

Yeah! No kid stuff. Just us adolescents. With snacks. And spiders, I guess?

[And that's then her Galvantula starts climbing up Nepeta's trenchcoat...]

They're okay. They only attack when I tell them to! [IS SHE KIDDING? WHO KNOWS.]

[She reaches out to tentatively pet the Galvantula while not actually looking directly at it.]

[And now Ariados is starting to skitter around her feet!]
