[A sleepy, slightly blanket-muffled voice comes through the journal late on Monday night - one that hasn't been heard for quite a few weeks.]

Whatever makes the castle decide to put people to sleep like this, someone needs to figure out how to do it. Like, I would totally pay money to just to be out cold till it makes up its mind to drop me back in New York.

[Alex yawns loudly, and there are some rustles as she rolls over towards the journal - followed by a small groan once she realizes how uncomfortable she is in this clothing. Stupid no-pajamas loss.]

Gotta say, though, doesn't feel as comfy in skinny jeans.

[Once she closes the journal and gets up and about, she'll be heading up to the roof with a wished-up pizza. Anyone more inclined to face-to-face social harassment can come bother her there.]

[Alex looks up and over her shoulder, giving Nita a friendly acknowledging glance. She gestures vaguely to the open pizza box in invitation.]

How've... things been...?

[Help her she is not good at small talk mayday.]

[She sits down next to Alex, picking up a piece of that pizza.] Better than I'd have thought they'd be, I guess. My sister is here, you know. [Which is both a plus and minus, really.]

Yeah? What's her name?

[She chews and swallows another bite of pizza.]

I think I'd go crazy if my brothers showed up.

[Well crazy with happiness at first. Then legit crazy. She gets the plus and minus part.]

Her name's Dairine. And apparently she beat me here...by two years. [Still not sure how to feel about that one.]

Oh, hey! I know her.

... Well, I've met her.

Really? And she didn't drive you up the wall?

Anyone under the age of nineteen drives me up a wall. But she wasn't too bad. Kind of a geek.

[A glance over] You realize that I'm fifteen, right? But yeah, we both kinda are. It's a pretty common thing with wizards where we're from.

Hey, there are exceptions. My girlfriend's a couple years younger than me. But generally, yeah.

[That... isn't very surprising to her.]

So you're all like my brother. Great.
