[Nora is DEFINITELY taking advantage of the castle weirdness and is currently standing on the ceiling (or, well, one of the funky staircases that apparently lead to the ceiling, wtf) of the lobby painting vines around one of the pillars. The thing is - her painted vines are cracking through the paint and soon there are live vines twisted around the pillar. She pulls her paint brush away to get more paint and the paint continues smearing through the air, a vine trailing after it.
Her eyes get wide and she swoops it around in a loop, watching the paint swirl and the vine reach. When the paint runs out she grins and grabs her journal, her fingers leaving green smears on the pages.]
[Mark]
Please don't tell me you're holed up in your room through all of this. You should come check out the lobby. I'm painting and it's coming to life!
[/Mark]
[Peeta]
Come down to the lobby. I was painting and something crazy happened!
[/Peeta]
I have to say, of all of the things that have happened here this is pretty awesome. [She yelps and ducks as a pterodactyl flies by] If trippy as hell.
((ooc: Open like whoa. Come paint with Nora!))

Nora
[And after about three minutes, there's a blonde boy hurrying into the lobby. He just stares about the room, standing beneath her.]
...Nora?
Action!
Hey! Come on up! Trust me, it's safe.
Forever!
You did that?!

[She picks up a paintbrush and holds it out to him] Try it. It's really something to see something you've painted come alive... literally.

[He takes the paintbrush eagerly, wishing up a palette with paint on it. He works for a couple minutes before he lets out a laugh.]
Hey, Nora!
[He grabs the pink flower out of the air and holds it out to her with a dramatic bow and a grin on his face.]

[She takes it and gives it a smell] It smells real, too.

...that's pretty impressive.

Thanks. It's pretty cool, huh?

[Also a little bit creepy, because what if it got out of hand? Still...]
Have you tried painting any animals to see if they come to life too? Something safe, though, like a rabbit or a butterfly...

[She swirls some orange paint around on her pallet before putting brush to pillar. She carefully paints two wings. Setting that brush aside she picks up a smaller tipped brush and outlines the wings, adding veins and details before filling in the body and antennae. As soon as she finishes the wings flutter free of the pillar before pulling the body off with them. The butterfly flutters off, circling Phoenix.
She laughs.]

It's not so bad being stuck in the lobby, I guess, if the castle's going to be entertaining like this today.

Only it came in from the goddamn HALL.
[yes, he's still picking styrofoam peanuts off his clothes. do you want his styrofoam peanuts? do you want his styrofoam peanuts? you can have them all]
no subject
Styrofoam peanuts? That's awesome. Is the entire hallway filled? Or was it, like, just your door?

Trippy is one thing to call it. It's not as disorientating as my anti-grav training, though.
