[Waking up surrounded by books was strange. Glancing over to see one of the ghosts - now pink with orange spots, apparently - tossing his things around the room like some crazy redecorating manic was stranger, and just the slightest bit annoying.
But what really threw Rookie out of synch was when he noticed the variety of floating chocolate-shaped animals (in all shapes and sizes) causing a ruckus in his kitchen and the corner of his living room seemingly dedicated to just singing flowers. All of which were very out of tune, and far less friendly considering the rows of teeth most of them had, so it wasn't very long before he was scrambling for his door.
Only to have his journal smack him rather mercilessly in the back of his head the second he stepped outside.] Ow!
[There's the sound of him turning around, and then a good long span of silence before:]
... The hell is going on here?
(ooc: Open as always, and back from the abyss that is no internet. Also he's going to have this thing following him around until the event is over. Think Carpet, but if it was a pseudo attention-seeking child who also likes to throw things. :D)

[He's slowly backing away from his room now, given his footsteps, but there's also the sounds of cloth moving across the floor and a mumbled 'beat it, shoo' from him.]
This some sort of weird holiday I don't know about?

Just a leap year this year.

[And why his shirt is having a tantrum of sorts and throwing another book his way. Which only made him duck to the side as it hit the wall somewhat loudly behind him.]
Has this ever happened before?

Things might be less crazy in town, if you want to get away?
no subject
Eventually, maybe. For now, think I'll just take a walk.

[Don't want anymore inanimate objects following him around, after all.]

[A pause] You like your Pterodactyl fried or Barbequed?

[And he would have asked back from what, but that last question kind of answered it.]
I, uh. [...] You know what, surprise me.

[He can't believe you're actually planning on cooking it, though. Not that he won't eat it, because hell if he's missing out on that, but you Spartans are definitely something else.]
