[The last week was a fairly confusing time. What with so many residents sleeping and all. Cheese prides himself on being able to think on his hooves, though, and if there's one thing he's certain about right now, it is that everypony in the castle needs something to lift their spirits. And that just happens to be where his expertise lie.

He'd already attempted to wander into the town that was being discussed to gather some supplies, but that...didn't quite work as well as he hoped. So now he's sitting in the gardens, dictating into the journal open on the grass in front of him. It's good grass, by the way, Paradisa. Springy and delicious.]

Hey, everypony! I've noticed that all those nightmares have got you all feeling down, and I'm always the one you call to fix that. It's my job to make everypony as happy as possible, and this place sure does need a whole lot of that right now.

I'm a party planner, and I've already promised to throw you all a shindig you'll never forget. [Blame Lucrezia. There's an awkward pause here.] But I've never thrown a party for humans before, and there are so many of you here, I don't want to throw something you won't enjoy. Because who wants a party where nopony is having fun? So let me know what humans want in their parties, and I'll put together something epic. Nonhumans, too, there's gotta be some of you around, right?

[Another pause, as he glances off in the direction that would have taken him into town.]

Aaaand does anypony know when the magical force field will go away so I can check out the town?

Sure there is! I tried to walk to the town and couldn't get very far at all. It was like something was stopping me dead.

[Then, a pause. Sheena knows of only two others who have used the word "everypony", and while it may be rude, she can't help herself.]

Are you sure? Because I've been having trouble getting past it.

[He blames the unicorns.]

Sure am, little filly. You've heard of it too?

When was the last time you tried? There wasn't anything there last night.

[Nope. Blame the castle. ALWAYS.]

Really? I'm sure somepony would have noticed humans walking around. Uh...if you are a human?

[She's not even considering a loss as she sighs a knowing and irritated sigh.]

It's probably the castle playing tricks again. Unfortunately, we don't always know how long they'll last. We'll just have to keep testing it.

[Probably the castle's way to force people to wish for things.]

You're right. I am human. But there was this book in the castle lobby that sent people to Equestria and turned them into ponies.

[A beat.]

Do you know Spike and his sister Twilight Sparkle?

O...kay? [Either he's really a pony or he's crazy. Who could even tell here...]

Well, maybe I should ask, then, what kind of parties do ponies have?

[Of course, he's actually the secret third option: both.]

Oh, they're awesome. We have cakes, games, music, dancing, and all the hay you could eat! A really good party can last all the way until sunup.

Sounds like a good human party would have pretty much the same things...minus the hay.

There's something stopping me from leaving the castle grounds. I figure it's gotta be a magical force field. Or maybe a giant glass dome.

There's no such thing, you just haven't found the sort of party you like yet. [Like. A. Dog.]

The Castle takes something away from everyone it brings here, it might be a memory or a skill or... something else.

And if you want to throw a party for humans I suggest alcohol and lots of it. Music is great too, something you can dance to like techno or house. I've planned a few parties for people my age before. [And ended up thrashing Paddy's place... but that's another story.]

Ohhhhh like cider? We always have great cider when it's in season. Teh-k-no and house. Got it. [There's a moment of silence, this is because he's taking notes and requires his mouth to do so. You can't hold a pencil when you don't have fingers.]

Oh wow, really? We should collaborate sometime!

Yeah like cider but stronger. Cider is for light weights. It should be beer, vodka, whiskey and tequila if you want a good party.

[Snorts.] If you work as a party fixer then you're probably better at it than me.

[The mockery sails right over his head.] You think so? Because this is one thing I don't want to be special in. I've gotta be able to travel.

That doesn't mean you can't try too! Even the best party ponies work better together.

[Aaron notices the non-reaction to his mockery. so either the pony is thick or he just ignores it.] Huh could be a loss. The castle likes to cause pain and distress to us. It gets off on that, feelings and such.
