[So Aaron had taken Church's advice and wishes for a chew toy for his dog. However the castle was big and Aaron didn't like staying in his room all day. So he had been hanging around with Clyde on his tail. But somewhere that flamin' toy had got lost.]

Huh. A sentient castle that celebrates Christmas. That's really something.

Yeah. It celebrates all kind of holidays. Mostly just to mess with us.

I've heard that it likes to do that. This is the first time I've heard about it doing anything nice, though.

Probably cos it very rarely does anything nice. Or maybe it's just to remind me of back home and the mistakes I did.

It's... unsettling, how much the castle knows about us. If that's the case.

I don't know why the castle does anything. I'm just guessing lad.

The same probably goes for everyone else.

It's doubtful that any of us will get anywhere in trying to work out the motivations of a being that's so completely different. Who knows if its thought processes are anything like ours - well, assuming it even has any at all - and aren't entirely beyond our comprehension?

Fun to think about, though.

I don't know. But several people seems to have got killed over the years. I haven't been here that long.

Well, that sounds... avoidable. I don't mean to trivialize the deaths of any past residents in saying this, but several over the course of a few years doesn't sound terribly dangerous.

It's a higher death toll than in the town I live in and there's has been a lot of murders in that town over the years.

It's a toy. It's made out of rubber and shaped as a bone. When you squeeze it it makes a noise. My dog liked it a lot. Seen it?

What you don't know what rubber is? It's a material which is soft and bendy but durable.

It doesn't smell. But Clyde has had it in his mouth a few times so... dog spit? I don't know.

It probably got some smell but I can't exactly describe it. It smell like plastic which is probably another word you don't know.

Depends on what kind. Some plastic is hard while some is soft. Rubber is soft and kinda bouncy. It probably smell artificial since it's made from oil.

No. It's not as hard as bone and it's very smooth. It's shaped as a bone tho.
