[Well fellow guests of Paradisa, you're greeted this morning by the sound of a "thud" coming over the journals followed by several panicked-sounding "Spoinks". Sheena's puzzled voice is soon heard, but that quickly changes...]

Hey! I'm awake! I'm awake! Stop bouncing on me! What's wro--

[Several moments of silence follows before she starts speaking, very confused.]

Again? But I didn't go to....

[This is soon followed by a sigh, then some mumbling about the journal and an ah-ha when it's discovered--though there's that note one gets when they realize others have already been listening.]

Good morning, everyone. Sorry if we woke anyone, but I have a question.

[A beat.]

Is there anyone here who has wings?

[Such an innocent question, but there's no mistaking the delight in her voice right now.]

I haven't seen anyone who does, but it's not impossible. The castle brings a wide variety of people here.

Any idea how the ponies with wings in Equestria know how to use them?

[Especially if they've never had them before?]

[She's already told Sheena about the time she was a fairy for like, a month. The wings were pretty much the one thing she really enjoyed about it, so she could definitely match Sheena's enthusiasm on the subject right now.]

[That's... basically code for "what did you change into?" Obviously some kind of loss is involved!]

When they're young, huh? Well, that makes sense. [Maybe if she remembers what Sylph and Colette did, she can do this...]

Yeah, kinda. The castle turned me into a Pegasus like on Equestria.

Ummm, yeah a little. Were you here when the residents were sent to a world called Equestria?

Well, the bonus is that you can walk on clouds so if you fall from anywhere high, you probably will have a soft landing and not die.

There's a bit of a pause as she gets the "code".]

No, that doesn't sound familiar. Sounds like it has something to do with horses? I mean, that sounds like it's based on the Latin for horse.

That's right!

[And it was a lot of fun, too! ... Except when it wasn't. She could have done without being so small.

Of course, Sheena pretty much has her attention 100% at the word 'pony'. And one with wings?]

Latin is an ancient language on my world that a lot of modern languages are descended from.

So, Equestria is a land of ponies. That's...interesting. ... Did the castle turn you into a pony?

[Sheena chuckles at Rise's enthusiasm. And why not? She's not the only excited person in this conversation.]

Sure! But I'm not at the castle. I'm in town, but I can meet you somewhere.

[She'll probably run there, since she's still figuring this wing thing out.]

A pony pa-- You mean a party? But wouldn't it have turned everyone into a pony if that's what's going on?

[Not that she'd mind because she likes being one!

She's quiet a moment after his suggestion.]

Ummm, I don't think a kite string would be strong enough. Besides, it might slip off.

[Sounds familiar--except for that descended from part. She doubts any of the languages she knows descended from the Elven language.]

That's right! It's a world of ponies, and I was turned into one then, and it turned me into one now... This time with wings.

[A slight sound that can only be called "fluttering" comes over the journal.]

Maybe it's doing it stealthily, like a surprise party.

You'd be surprised how strong a kite string can be.

No, it's not. Outside of law, medicine, and some religions, it's barely used at all.

[Bruce isn't sure what to think of that.]

Oh, uh. That sounds fun, I guess? Can you fly?

[Hm... the town? Rise's sure she's heard of the town changing a lot recently, and she doesn't want to get lost. She just hasn't had reason to leave the castle much lately.]

Is there somewhere close to the castle gate?

[Well, Sheena lives near town, and trust her, the changes are a surprise... But ones she can live with.]

Sure! I can meet you there! Right now good?

I hadn't thought of that... But who would the party be for?

[She's silent.]

Yeah, that's true. But how would I keep it from slipping off?
