Survive - this place will throw you curveballs. Some of them just annoying. Some of them downright horrible. I also train constantly, keep myself in peak condition. Hunt, because I need to eat.
[A pause.] ... and I try to enjoy what I can. I don't know when it will be taken from me.
[Kate might be tough but she's a city girl through and through. Hunting never exactly made it onto her activity list.
That aside, the way the girl phrases that last part is a little disturbing. It's not quite clear to her, but in the back of her mind she can remember a time being so miserable that anywhere other than where she was would have been better. She can't help but wonder if that's what the girl means.]
I guess we don't know when the, uh, castle will send us back home, huh?
My fiancé is here, so I'm not plannin' on goin' anywhere without him anyway. [Especially while he was still unconscious. Kate would rather spend years locked in the castle than go home without Rick.]
What happened to you to make you so afraid of the wishes? [It's blunt, but Kate's already made one herself and she's nervous as to what she just got herself into.]
Your ... fiancee is here? [Oh, that wasn't good. This place had a way of separating couples. She wasn't sure she should bring that up, though...]
When you wish for things - the castle can take more from you later. You can lose all kinds of things - important memories of people. Favorite items. Your entire past.
I'll definitely keep that in mind. [She doesn't like the idea of losing memories, and like the idea of losing people even less. Hopefully that's too much of a price to pay for a sandwich.]
Yeah, I guess I am. [She can't help but smile, too. Even just thinking about Castle these days lifts her spirits a little.] Uh, how long has he been here?
[Kate sighs. On the bright side, she guesses that means she won't miss anything back home. However, it also means no one knows they are gone and no one is looking for them.]
Re: Dictated
[Well now she sort of feels like an idiot. She clears her throat.]
Katniss. And we've all been kidnapped here.
Dictated
So I've been informed. I have to admit, this is probably the most comfortable kidnapping situation I've ever been in.
Re: Dictated
Just be careful. You have to be careful here or ... well. This place catches you up, fast.

Re: Dictated
Dictated
[She was not planning on being here that long.]
And no one's come forward yet to explain what's going on or why any of us are here?
Re: Dictated
[She frowned faintly.]
Nope, can't say that anyone has been that forthcoming.
Dictated
[Kate is pretty sure she might just lose her mind.]

Re: Dictated
[There's a noise, somewhere between a grunt and a sigh.] No, I'm sorry. We don't know. But people are sent home all the time, so you might get lucky.

His name is Richard Castle. Do you know him?
Re: Dictated
Yeah, I know him. He's a very nice man. You're lucky.

Great. That sounds... ridiculous.
Re: Dictated
Everything is ridiculous here. You'll learn to hate it - then live with it.
Dictated
[She shakes her head, but she can't help but smile. This is definitely gonna be a challenge.]
Thanks for the help, Katniss.
Re: Dictated
Dictated
[It only seems fair. If she's going to make friends, she's certainly going to look out for them, too.]
