SERIOUSLY?

[Kate is still getting used to communicating with people via instantaneous journal writing, so a smiley face wouldn't have helped much with her perceived tone. Her own bad mood is generally overshadowing all of it.]

About as fine as anyone who just got mysteriously kidnapped by a magic castle. [Regardless of what she's seen and been told so far, she's still not really buying the 'magic' part.] Thanks for asking, though.

How long have you been here?

People see a lot of shit here sometimes. Try not to hold it against them. And almost a year, exactly. Time flies.

That's a hell of a long time. And I take it you don't have any idea of who is holding us here or why, either?

Best answer I've ever gotten is "the castle." Hate to say it, but I sort of stopped questioning it after a while.

That's what I'm afraid of. It seems like people have gotten complacent here, not that I can blame them. I've never seen a kidnapping quite like this before.

Probably wise to take a look at the circumstances of the people who've let themselves get that way. You know we're not all from the same world, right?

Yeah, I've gotten the gist, hence why I can't blame them. I'm just not in the position where I have to be one of those people. I WANT to go home.
