What has brought you the greatest joy in your life? Since my dearest dream is about to be realized, I wanted to celebrate other joys. They needn't be impressive or grandiose. Believe me, I know how important small comforts can be.

(Good food, a warm hearth and a comfortable bed are not always something a Herald can count on.)

My greatest joy is my Ashke Vanyel Ashkevron. He is older, wiser and more powerful than me and I'm damn proud to call him mine. We will be having a ceremony - whether Van likes it or not - and he will have to cope with me singing his praises.

Loudly.

And with my noblest vernacular. I am technically a Lord!

The fact that everyone is always so "joyous" here weirds the hell out of me, personally. I don't have a dearest dream, and I'm pretty sure my "greatest joy" is just a major killjoy for the rest of you. You're all on drugs.

I am glad I have been given forewarning on that count. I can properly prepare myself to be lauded by my love. I shall work to keep from blushing overly much!

Any celebration is certainly cause for singing praises, whether to the dismay of those being celebrated or not. Tis part of an ancient, grand old rule, I wager.

I am familiar, but I am also unfortunately a dreadful singer myself. I leave it to the more capable parties, even if they can be dreadfully dull.

No doubt yours will be a ceremony worth a thousand praises. You certainly seem excited for it.

You would change your opinion on that immediately if you'd heard my incredibly poor attempts at it.

[ and wow that suddenly took a sad turn. aw :c ] If one has been given a second chance, then it is better to see it wisely spent.

Only you might think so, my love.

Sometimes I forget how sweet you are with flattering words.

It is amazing you did. Even Aunt Savil thought so.

I could never imagine doing that to you, my love. But yes, I can see her worry. Whomever it was that did that to you before me... well, he should be glad I never found out his name.
