[There’s a man sprawled across a couch in the lobby. He yawns lazily, flipping the pages in the journal every now and then.

Don’t recognize him? You shouldn’t. He’s new. But he sure is making himself at home.

He grins childishly and waggles his finger in the air, dictating to the journal. His voice starts out sing-songy.]

Welcome to Paradisa, Izaya~ Make yourself comfortable~

I’ve been here for a few hours. Where’s the welcoming committee?

[He frowns as he flips to the first page, then back through quickly to the last.] Eh? Where’s the rest?

[He squints down at the journal with a pout on his face.] Ahhh… no fair, castle. Anyone willing to part with volume one of their journals?

I am a little confused on the Dead Zone. I've seen it mentioned in the journals, but I don't know what it is. Mind telling me?

Hm, I don't know the details, but I'll tell you what I know.

Pretty much, it's an area where Paradisa doesn't really work right. So you loose all of your superpowers, and no technology works out there. Because of that, there hasn't been a whole lot of exploring out there just because it's hard to move around.
