So- since the castle is done contorting itself, has anybody found any evidence of the changes we experienced last month reverting? Or is it still the same as it was then? I've been looking and haven't found anything that's changed back, but I keep half expecting this to be an event on top of an event. It would be just like the castle.

I have been working on a report concerning the changes, though you might understand there have been some...delays. As far as I have seen, all those changes remain in place, but it is a work in progress.

Good to know, thanks. And yeah... a lot of us have been [A pause.] occupied with other things lately. And I can imagine it's a pretty massive undertaking.

The most difficult part is turning out to be remembering how it was before.

That's a good point- we're used to things instantly reverting when they change. I know I took it for granted... seeing everything the same way every day makes it that much harder to remember how it was.

Not only that, but it's easy to see how the history of this place becomes so easily lost over time.

Oh yeah- considering how many people have come and gone... passed things on to others who have since left... gotten or built things whose purpose were lost... experienced things that were lost with their departures. "Loss" is one of the major themes of this place, after all.

That is perhaps one of aptest descriptions of Paradisa I have ever heard. [And his tone has the vaguely awed and somewhat distant quality to it to match]

[Jennifer can sense the distance; she's lost a lot in her time here, too. Both friends and things like her clinic.]

Well, if there's anythings I can do to help... I want to be able to make sense of things again. As well as I can.

Are you holding up all right? This last one was quite... unique, I shall say. I wouldn't be surprised if it is taking a bit to recover.

I'm still feeling a little disoriented, to tell you the truth. And noticing spirals everywhere, even if it's not the same level of all-consuming obsession.

I understand. I became... obsessed is the right word, I think. I had to wish up all new sets of clothing. I had burned spirals into my clothes.

Yeah, that's a very good word for it. It was like I couldn't think about anything else- and by the end, the castle couldn't really think of anything else, either. I kept feeling the urge to curl my body up.

Oh yes, that was the most uncomfortable part. If one has magic it might even had been possible. I was thinking about that - a spell to turn my body into a spiral. I am glad I did not figure it out.

I don't even want to think about what that could have done.

Nothing pleasant, I would assume. Most likely it simply would have broken me.

And I don't think I would have been able to fix you in that case.

I doubt anyone could, though from what I have heard and read, death is not exactly permanent here either, even if our bodies are broken.

Yeah- I do know that much for a fact. At least it didn't come to that this time.
