That was a day ago, and now that he finally managed to snatch his journal back from some grabby tentacles, he can deal with this like a rational adult. His patience shot, he only flips through a few pages before asking the question that should be on everyone's mind.]

That all sounds great until it grows up. [--and eats you, is how the rest of that goes. Although Spike is halfway sure that it'll try to eat them when they sleep as it is, but maybe that's just him.]

Well, what does the dear look like he needs? They might be creatures, but they are babies still. My little one likes being near warm things - he calms down considerably once we get him near something hot like a fire.
