[ All Duke's noticed about this day, before checking the journals - was that it sounded like someone was moving. Or the castle was creaking in a particularly unhealthy way - but listening to the journals indicated that the sun hadn't come up either.

... Not particularly bothering to someone who can't see.

What was starting to get on his nerves was the sounds of being followed. Yes, he couldn't see if someone actually was, but that's not going to stop him from occasionally whirling about as if he could - trying to find with flickers of swirling magic whether something was alive and nearby.

His unease is slowly being shown by the slowly forming sphere of what looks like math equations that circles about him. They're golden-glowing, but rather faint and flickering as he walks toward the library. He doesn't need the light of them, but he can keep up his pretending-to-see, right? ]
