[April woke up three hours ago, and she has no idea what's going on.
Okay, so that's not 100% true. She's explored her room and scanned the journal, so she has an extremely basic idea (sitting in what looks like a really fancy hotel room, in possession of a weird communal journal that doesn't seem to obey the laws of physics, something big involving a lion happened a few days ago), but beyond that? Absolutely no clue.
Right now, the journal is the most interesting thing. It's definitely the most unusual, and so she figures that if she wants her other questions answered, it's her best bet.
Especially because it seems like people are using it to communicate. Somehow.
First she has to test it out, though. She could introduce herself to everyone, or write an impassioned plea for information, or start screaming her head off about having been kidnapped. But... nah. Instead, she'll do this:]

[OOC: If you want your character to play tic-tac-toe with her, just save the image to your computer and draw in their O! Or, if you can't/don't want to do that, you can tell me which spot their put their O in and I'll fill it in myself.]

[Really, she's dead serious.]
Anyway, what's your deal?
[Action]
[Another long swig and she's finished off her whiskey.]
What do you mean, my story?
[Action]
I dunno. What were you doing before you got sucked into this crazy alternate universe?

Oh Paradisa, if you could be so kind? A sword for the lady to swallow.
[Meg actually has wishing down to a science and doesn't need to speak aloud anymore, but she's making a point here. A point illustrated by ye olde shiny sword that appears on the bar out of thin air.]

[Action]
You think I actually care what you believe? Please. I'm just showing off.
The wish thing is pretty cool, though. Give it a whirl.
[Action]
[And lo, one appears. Yum! She'll start drinking it.]
Neat trick.
[Action]
[But really, you're killin' her, smalls.
Think bigger, kid.]
FYI, I make stronger drinks than the castle does.
[Action]
[She likes Meg's better, though she won't say that out loud.
She pushes the sword with a finger.]
What are you gonna do with that?
[Action]
[She drains her glass and taps her chin with a finger, considering her options.]
Probably save it for the next time monsters attack. 'Til then, maybe mount it on the wall to commemorate this occasion even when you're as cynical and jaded about this place as I am.
[Action]
Maybe a real sword-swallower will show up.
[Action]
Meg wasn't all hugs and puppies when she showed up here either, but she's been through the ringer here, and it shows. Even on her.]
You'll see.
[SO HELPFUL]
Maybe. That'd be more interesting than a bored college girl, anyway.
[Shots fired]
[Action]
I'd rather be a sword-swallower.
[Action]
Well, practice makes perfect. At least there's a good clinic here.
[Action]
Don't need it. They say all teenagers think they're invincible, but I actually am.
