[Guess who's bored?

That's right, this elf. He's flipping through his journal, sitting in a tree outside with his bow and quiver in his lap. He glances at his bow and then flips to a clean page.]

I find myself with little to do. Would any be interested in learning to use a bow? Or a knife?

Hmm. Just to be clear. You're talkin' bow an' arrow, right? I'm not gonna skip down there an' find sheet music, am I? Ah've been burned before.

[Laughing.] A bow and arrow, yes. Although, it would be fun to do that to someone.

[It would be just like Legolas to do something like that.]

[Paige is pleased to find out she isn't disappointed. Music had never been her strong point.]

[A pause.]

Ya'll er, had much need for this kinda skill here lately?

[She could recall the hellish things this place liked to throw down from time to time. She wondered if it had changed. ]

[And she's talking to an elf that sings frequently.]

Outside the castle, sitting in a tree on the edge of the forest.

[Much as he doesn't like this forest. The trees aren't unfriendly but neither are they friendly. The same for the animals.]

Of late, it would be a useful skill but it is not always necessary. The castle has its fun.

[Paige briefly considered her options. From her last visit to Paradisa she knew she could, at least in part, travel through the journal. Liquid forms have their benefit and whilst it would be the fastest way to locate him, it was also the scarier of ways to introduce herself. Plus, it had resulted in fingers up noses and no one wanted that. So instead, she does it the old fashioned way, snatching up the journal and sliding on boots over her worn and torn jeans.

She appeared, several minutes later, a basket swinging from her grasp, large and square. It's heavy, weighed down by shiny, blush-red apples. She'd made the request on her way down. Ask and you shall receive. However casual she looks, dressed plain in a t-shirt over her jeans, Paige has a weathered look about her. She wanders, looking a little aimless, before she raises a hand to shield her eyes from the sunshine, calling out.]

Hello? Ah brought targets!

I could always be better with knives ... but we know how we do against one another with bows.

I will see about finding a proper knife for you, unless Tauriel lets me borrow one of hers. [Or steals Katniss to teach her herself.] And so we do but now I wonder how you might do against my father.

Would she? [There's a note of warmth there.] That would be ... very generous of her. [Then she laughed.] He'd probably make mincemeat of me, but I'll try to hold my own.

There would be no harm in at least asking. Otherwise, I will find someone who might forge one for you. [He can't help but laugh too.] I am sure he would. He is better than even I am.

Then I shall ask, but don't go to any trouble, all right? [She snorts.] Oh well then - I should be asking him for tips.

I would be glad to teach you. I have time enough to teach several and I can recruit others for help.

I would most appreciate it. I've been wanting to learn, but could never find an instructor, so I've rather muddled along by myself.

I think he's been here before, not sure if he's here now, though. Bloke from my world, he is. Member of a team called "The Avengers", and he's one o' the few super-folks who doesn't have any special powers ta speak of. His civilian name's Clint Barton, so y'might know 'im by that name, rather than Hawkeye.
