Fifth Flake [dictated]
[... Oh no. Ohhhhh no. No no no.
This isn't the first time Elsa's woken up to a chill in the air when the weather should be warmer. In her room at least, her powers still... reacted... when she had a nightmare. But the accidental outbursts have never been bad. A few flurries here or there or ice creeping along the walls.
But now, looking out the window.... everywhere is covered in snow. As far as the eye can see. And of course Elsa, poor, constantly-blaming-herself Elsa, immediately jumps to the first conclusion her mind imagines.
Oh god, what did I DO?
But she can't remember doing this! Her dreams weren't even THAT bad last night...! But... she didn't mean to do anything the last time she froze a land during summer... so maybe...
No. She. She needs to ask about this first. Maybe someone knows what happened. So, to the journals she goes.]
The weather... is this.... normal for this land, this time of year?
[She's trying to simply sound curious and casual, but... yeah that's not working. Her voice is shaking ever so slightly with nerves, but she's hoping people will just think it's because of the cold...]

[Give him a second... to find a window...
There is a pause here.]
Uhhhh no, that's... new.
dictated;
Okay... [Calm breaths, Elsa.] Has the castle ever been known for changing the weather?
[She's been here for MONTHS now and god, that still sounds like such an absurd question to ask.]
dictated;
Uhhh kind of. Sometimes it makes the weather get all weird, like... this one time leaves wouldn't stop falling, even after all the trees didn't have any leaves left to, uh, fall.
Nothing like this, though.

[A pause, then worried.]
Are you okay?

[Boy, she was really hoping that this would help calm her fears. Currently, it's doing the exact opposite.]
I... yes. I'm fine. [This is probably a very unconvincing lie.]
no subject
[Wow, he does not believe that at all, but he won't pry.] Okay. But if you wanna talk, you know that thing goes both ways.

Normal? Ain't a lot around here that fits that description. Now if you were to substitute that word for awesome?
Definitely.
Less panic, more sledding!

[....] Is such a harsh change in the weather truly not something you think we should be worried about?

Do you come from a land with a much warmer climate?

dictated;
I haven't been here that long, but we do seem to follow in the normal progression of seasons... when the castle isn't setting wild animals on us or turning us into mermaids.
[Basically, she assumes it's the castle being a troll as usual.]
no subject
... Turning us into mermaids? When did that happen? [Did she miss something...?]

The castle is probably bored or something.

Still... it seems strange that this is all it has done. It makes me wonder if something much worse is coming soon.

Is... there something about the snow that is upsetting you signora?

[She sounds... somewhat reassured. Talking to other people has certainly helped, but hearing those words from someone she considers a friend helps a bit more.]
I suppose the reason I'm getting so worked up over this is because it brings up some... unpleasant memories.

Is someone seriously echoing her exact thoughts?]
You.... can do things like this?

It's snow!! Snowfall! This is wonderful!!
[Sorry Elsa, Sugar's answer might have to wait until her excitement has died down a bit.]

Well, it's good to hear that someone is excited about all this.

[Yes, he can sense the worry in you mind, and where it's come from. No, he's not going to explain why.]
That said, is snow in June normal for anywhere? Heh.
