[It's 2am. Pitch is lounging by the pool, in the dark. He's chosen the middle of the night for this because he figures most of the Castle will be asleep and unlikely to bug him (which, of course, means people definitely should come bug him).

And then he decides to make a journal entry. Call it an experiment, to see who else is awake.]

Quiet, isn't it.

[His tone is ominous. He doesn't actually know whether or not this is a "calm before the storm" situation, but he definitely wants everyone else to think it might be.]

It has naught to do with any of this, only just now has it occurred to me. You crept and crooned then as well.

[Pitch doesn't press the gender question. He doesn't mind if she doesn't want to answer it, especially since he was asking out of curiosity rather than concern.]

Depends on what you consider a virtue.

Courage or brashness? People confuse the two.

[ The scoff she allows is light; barely discernible to human ears. She's more amused than offended by his answer as a question, since it's for the truth. ]

Justice?

Everybody likes justice unless it's being served to him.

[He's not counting himself there, of course. The Guardians beating him wasn't justice or deserved. ~*Obviously*~.]
