[She waited for the impact of the sword, arm raised and eyes shut tight.
After a few seconds, Anna realizes that her ex-fiancé probably hasn’t killed her. Or she didn’t feel any kind of sword or pain. She’s still cold all around though.
Terrified, she opens one eye slightly. Then the next eye, already preparing what she was going to say to Hans. The exact words aren’t there but she knows there’ll be yelling, that’s for sure. Lots of yelling. Once she realizes she’s no longer on the frozen waters, she blinks in surprise; eyes wide. This isn’t the same scene. This isn’t the same place. It doesn’t even look like the same kingdom!
What once was a whiteout, snow all around, is now a foyer. And not even the foyer she's slid in over the years.

Where the heck am I?

Ice didn’t cover her skin anymore. Wait, did that mean she found her act of true love? Was saving Elsa what saved her?
All sorts of scenarios rush through her head.
One scenario was that she’s dead and this is some sort of afterlife. She died, and it’s all Hans’ fault. And to think, she was going to marry him. Ew. He wasn’t even that handsome. Those sideburns were ugly. Well, maybe it was the eyes. Alright, it was definitely the eyes.
Seeing as she could hear her heart beat, ice wasn’t covering her and she wasn’t cut in half, Anna rules being dead out.
Her mind wanders to kidnapped princesses. Yeah, that was reasonable.

Kidnapping happened to princesses often enough.

Wait.
Panic sets in. That means… If she’s here, then where’s…?]

“Elsa?!”

[She spins around, looking for any sign of her sister. A journal, the room and its furniture is all she can see.
Anna silently begs for a sign. Some snow, blonde hair, ice, anything…]

“Elsa!”

[pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseletherbeokay

If Prince Jerk of the Jerky Isles did kill her, she really didn’t want to hear an answer from Elsa to be honest.
She wraps her cloak closer to her, feeling cold as ever. She starts to walk, hoping to find some answers.]

[That... that voice! Elsa had been resigned, once again, to never seeing her sister again after Anna's disappearance from the castle a few weeks ago. It still hurt, so badly, but... she knew that Anna disappearing and going home was better than her being trapped here for who knows how long. She didn't dare hope that her sister would show up in Paradisa again.

... So, of course, she's quite surprised when she hears her sister's voice calling to her from the journal open on the desk beside her.]

[That...

Hm. Well, Part of her is a little happy that Anna seems to have more of her memories than she did the last time she was in the castle. But if the last thing she remembered was that confrontation out on the fjord...

That worries Elsa. A lot. She needs to get to her sister. Now. So she picks up her journal and heads out the door, already on her way to the stairs.]

I can tell you everything in person, okay? I just need you to do something for me first. You woke up in a bedroom, right? If you leave it, there will be a number by the door. Tell me what it is.

[Oh, good. Only a floor above her room. Elsa takes a deep breath.]

Okay. I'll be there in a few moments.

[It's easy enough to make her way up one floor and down the hall, but she needs to... prepare herself. She's been through this reunion before, and she isn't particularly embarrassed by the way she can't seem to really control her emotions upon being reunited with her sister, so that's not a problem...

The problem is that she's not quite sure how Anna will handle the fact that Elsa's left arm is currently missing. But it's not like that's something she can hide, so there's no way to avoid the subject. She can only hope Anna won't take it too badly.

So, after steeling herself mentally, she heads out of her room and up to Anna's. She lets a shaky smile cross her face, and then she knocks on the door.]

Anna? I'm here.

[It takes a moment for Anna's rambling to register with Elsa, because as soon as her sister's arms are around her, Elsa pulls her into a tight hug. It was only a few weeks, barely anything compared to their thirteen years of isolation... But damn. She missed this.

When she finally pulls back, her face is a mask of concern as she stares at Anna.]

I can tell you all about it soon. But you... are you okay? You're not still hurt after... [She hesitates a moment, because even now, what happened in those days after her coronation is still a very tender subject.] after what happened?

[She shouldn't be. From what Elsa remembers, Anna was fine after she thawed, if just a bit dazed. But still... she worries.]

... Cold? [Strange. Elsa could feel the cold now, and the hallway... certainly doesn't feel cold to her. But hey, that doesn't matter. True to that "worrywart" comment, she waves a hand, and in the blink of an eye, a thick blue cloak materialized around Anna's shoulders. Typical Elsa. Always looking out for Anna.

Her expression fell quickly when Anna mentioned Hans. God, that's right, if the last thing Anna remembered was freezing to death, than she didn't know that Hans was knocked out...]

No, it wasn't. You really took care of him after that, Anna. He could barely get back up. [Despite the sudden serious tone in their conversation, Elsa laughs softly.] This... this actually happened here. In this castle.

[There's a pause. Elsa really didn't want to tell Anna about the bad things that could happen here. She didn't want to scare her so soon after arriving. But... things have been quiet for a while, and if she wants to protect her little sister, then she has to make sure Anna knows what to expect.]

It's... not a pleasant story. Perhaps you should sit down for this.

[Elsa lets out a shaky laugh as she sits. Oh Anna....]

This place... it's dangerous. It may seem peaceful, and most of the time, it really is. It's certainly not the worst place to be trapped. But sometimes... things happen.

[She reaches up, running her hand over her shoulder.] Months ago, there was a... creature within the castle. A very hostile monster. I... had an unfortunate run-in with it.

It's.... bizarre, I won't lie. But I've had some time to adapt. I even tried to make a replacement at one point.

[There's a pause, and Elsa frowns. It's not that she couldn't make a replica arm... that was easy. But seeing that crystalline blue limb brought back some uncomfortable memories of seeing Anna completely frozen over...]

It didn't work out.

[She doesn't get much time to dwell on those sad thoughts, though, because Anna's words bring a smile to her face, and she can't help but laugh softly.]

I know we can, Anna. [Well.. they can handle it until the castle takes one of them away. Again.] Nothing's going to stand in our way anymore, right?
