[Dictated/Action for Lobby]

 [Five-year-old Danny Fenton was hiding under one of the tables in the lobby as he peered out at the room distrustfully.  He didn't know what was going on, but this didn't look anything like home.  Where was Jazz? Did his Dad send the house to another dimension again?

He clutches the journal he'd found tightly as another more frightening idea came to mind.]

Did the ghosts get me?

[Howl's on his way through the lobby when he gets a suspicious feeling he's being watched. That question, a moment later, confirms it, and he turns to peer under the table a little quizzically]

The ghosts all left awhile ago, actually.

[He just assumes it's the now-departed 'servants' in question, though to his knowledge, they never 'got' anyone. Other than by perhaps losing their laundry]

[Danny shakes his head and scoots back further under the table.

Ghosts don't leave. Mommy said so. That's why ghost hunters have to make them go away.

Well, these certainly did. I don't know if there were any ghost hunters involved.

If they're hiding, they're exceedingly good at it. I haven't found them anywhere.

Then they're also lazy, because they haven't bothered to do my laundry in months now.

[There's a tiny fairy on a chandelier of the lobby. It's a common sitting spot for her, a good place to watch the ongoings for twinkles.

When she hears someone's voice, she flies down to hover midair looking for the source.]

I don't think so. I haven't seen them around for a long time.

Danny crawls out from under the table and looks around warily for the source of the voice.

"Where are you?"

[Ah ha! There he is! Sugar flies down lower.]

I'm right over here!

Go away, ghost!

There are no ghosts around here that I know of.

[Danny drops the journal with a yelp and hastily back away from it.]

Where are you? Are you a ghost?

[pompous_today]

No, no- do you see a journal nearby? I am speaking to you through it.

I found it.

[He eyes it warily.]

Is it going to blow up?

[pompous_today]

[Oh, this poor child.]

No- just think of it as a two-way radio of sorts. It's harmless.

Last time Dad built a radio it blew up. [Danny was going to be stubborn on this topic. As far as he knew things were either haunted, or they exploded. ]

[Sheena's just heading into the lobby when she hears a familiar--yet strange at the same time--voice.

Slowing her steps, she looks around, finally spotting the young Danny under the table. She's seen people turned young before, so bending down, she smiles reassuringly.]

No. The ghosts didn't get you. They're long gone.

But ghosts don't just leave.

[There were too many strange people here. Danny wasn't coming out. ]

They do if they don't want to be where they are anymore.

[That's okay. Sheena's limber enough to sit cross-legged next to him.]

But where did they go? Mom says ghosts don't leave unless someone makes them.

[ Sheena shrugs and gives him a smile. ]

Maybe someone did, because they really aren't here anymore.

As for where they went? Probably wherever they came from.
