When you kick apples down from the trees at harvest time. Applejack is the best apple bucker in all of Equestria!

Ah, I should have guessed that's what it meant. We don't kick apples down from trees back home.

We pick them off the trees using our hands. If it's a high tree, we would stand on a ladder.
