This place is the slap to the face for pretty much every skeptic, isn't it?

The impossible happens at every turn, who's about to pinpoint when it's all about to make any sense.

Not that I'm having trouble adjusting, it's just... [There's a pause, and perhaps a sigh, maybe a chuckle under her breath.] Hard to believe that there are a distinct lack of answers.

If you can believe it, life is less dangerous here then it was back home. Maybe less complicated. [ No, things haven't gotten any less complicated... ]

Are you alone from your world?

I'm surrounded by super powered, extraordinary people whose hearts are more or less in the right place. So as long as I don't make any enemies here, I think you're right about the danger.

Losses seems to be the only... dangers posed and they're really a dime a dozen. A grab-bag of trips and personality shifts...

How is that?

Believe me, I can handle a week of tense, vicious people. There's never a week that goes by where I don't deal with a case that makes tensions run high.

And I don't know. I mean, I'm from Earth, America, Chicago-- but there always seem to be something a little different about everyone's versions of home. [Huff.] Either way, I am alone in regards to my little part of the world.
