This place is the slap to the face for pretty much every skeptic, isn't it?

The impossible happens at every turn, who's about to pinpoint when it's all about to make any sense.

Not that I'm having trouble adjusting, it's just... [There's a pause, and perhaps a sigh, maybe a chuckle under her breath.] Hard to believe that there are a distinct lack of answers.

Absolutely no luck whatsoever--past getting into arguments with fellow lawyers sometimes.

It's starting to get frustrating. I wish there'd be a trial or something, though I've heard that there was one before I got here.

I'm surprised I've yet to hear anything from the city's side of things, to be honest.

I've been wondering about this very thing. The organization that was in place seems to be at odds with itself right now. No one seems to know what should be done.

If anything, the goal should never leave one's mind, organization or not.

Protection of the people is the first responsibility of any with the ability and desire. That's the one thing I think we all agree on.

I find myself preferring having no one to answer to but my own moral code. Back home, the order I was part of prided itself on staying out of the politics of the Kingdom. Our only responsibility was protection of the realm.

Before coming here were you a skeptic? There are things you can be skeptical of... A sentient castle wasn't something I thought of back in Mystic Falls. [ He had a lot more to worry about. ]

You're finding adjustment easy?

I'd like to say that I still am. There isn't much in the way of magic where I come from... Though I am starting to realize that I am the minority as far as that is concerned.

But yes, I know how to adjust when the odds aren't in my favor.

If you can believe it, life is less dangerous here then it was back home. Maybe less complicated. [ No, things haven't gotten any less complicated... ]

Pretty dumb, but what can you do.

That's typically how it is. No matter how efficient police are, the majority are only called on after the fact.

It makes you wonder if the First Gens know any more than we do.

I've only heard vague things. And as far as I can tell, there are a lot of things the residents want to keep from them.

To venture a guess, I'm sure that would be the case if they seem to be that elusive.
