I signed the final papers for the property in the city on Friday and after looking through the place once more, now that it's ours, I'll be moving forward with reconstruction. If you want to stop by sometime over the next week and offer your input, I'd greatly appreciate a new set of eyes. It's been a while since I've had to actually establish a home for myself in a city. Usually, I'm welcomed into someone else's estate. [So kind in the South.]

[It seemed everyone checked in with Damon from the Mystic Falls group when he last made an entry into the journal. So nice of everyone to just put all their feelings out there on the pages for her to see. Regardless, they might have checked in, but Katherine truly cared. Now normally, an event such as an anniversary would require a gift of some sort. Normal circumstances, she would've compelled a girl and sent her to him. Of course, times being what they are and the situation being far too complicated for her to screw it up with a silly little present, she instead just sticks to the classics.]

That would be a big help, Lilah. I'm dealing with this city and when most the residents seem to forget the details unless they're a marriage document, I'm a bit concerned.

Mm. I wasn't aware that Stefan still had feelings that I was able to hurt. He's doing such a good job of being with Elena, I thought he had finally settled for her. [Because, in Katherine's mind anyone that doesn't go with her is settling for something far less.]
