[ It's late, so she isn't even sure who might be around, but Lana's going to be slowly walking into the clinic anyway and knocking against the open door. It's not like this is a normal hospital with a receptionist and everything. ]

[ He had been here longer than he expected, he curses a little when he looks at the time on his wrist. Sherlock will have ignored dinner entirely and continued whatever experiment is currently taking up the kitchen table.

The voice snaps him out of his thoughts, he glances over briefly, before continuing to pack up his laptop. ]

[ Oh good, a person! Hopefully a doctor. She's trying to keep her walk fluid, even having avoided heels for this, but there's still a bit of limping, darn it.

She'd really like to check in on Arthur and Morgana, too, but priorities. ]

I need to see a doctor. It's not an emergency or anything, but the doctor in town was no help.

[confidente]

[ When he glances back at her a second time he notices the limp, eyebrows furrowing into a small frown. ]

You're looking at one. Here. [ He pulls out a chair from nearby, motioning to it. ] Take a seat.

[ She's relieved to sit down. ]

Thanks... I know it's late, but I didn't want to draw anybody else's attention.

For the past couple of days, there's been pain in my legs. I can tolerate it most of the time, but then out of nowhere it just becomes excruciating. I've fallen five times since yesterday, so now I'm paranoid about doing anything.

It's fine. [ He flashes her a smile. ]

Doesn't sound pleasant. [ He can speak from experience. ] Can you tell me where the pain originates?

[ And she smiles back, despite the pain. It's nice to get a friendly doctor. Still, she quickly gets somber again at the reminder. ]

No, it's not. Um, it doesn't really have a starting point. It's...this whole area. [ She leans down to wave her hand from her lower thigh down to her calf, her legs at least looking normal beneath her jeans. ]

Both legs. The reason I'm worried is because it feels like an old injury of mine, but I completely healed years ago.

[ His forehead furrows again, eyes following the movements of her hands before focusing on her face. ]

What sort of injury was it?

I was trampled by a horse.

[ Eyes widen. Shit. His mouth closes shut and he gives her an apologetic look. ]

And your sure it healed properly?

I went through extensive physical therapy, and I've continued martial arts since. I never had any problems until now.

I know using magic to just heal it would be easier, but I'd really like to avoid that.

[confidente]

I understand.

I can get you something for the pain, but we should try and do a few tests to figure out what's causing this. [ The castle could be a reason, but he's not ready to go down that path until the rest have been exhausted. ]
